We are excited to announce a career opportunity within our Service Support & Solutions organization. We are seeking a Project Management Associate to join the Regulatory Support Team.

This individual will be responsible for handling multiple regulatory reporting activities for both Individual Life and Hartford, managing annual regulatory reporting, market conduct exams, ad hoc regulatory inquiries, and Price Waterhouse audits. We are looking for an individual who is self-motivated, detail-oriented, proactive, passionate about data, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

  • Individual Life NAIC Market Conduct Annual Statement (MCAS). This is an annual filing covering all aspects of individual life, including new business, inforce, surrender, claims, complaint, and lawsuit data. Data is collected from multiple sources and aggregated by NAIC reporting requirements.
  • Other Annual Regulatory Reporting. Multiple states require reporting on various subjects. Data is gathered both from Prudential business partners as well as vendor partners and prepared for delivery to internal and external partners.
  • Market Conduct Exams. State departments of insurance routinely conduct a review of an insurer's business practices to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This role supports multiple control partners (law, compliance, risk, etc.) by providing system-sourced data reports and coordinating the production of sample files for examiner review.
  • Ad hoc Regulatory Inquires. State departments of insurance and other regulatory entities routinely conduct review and investigation into company and producer business practices. This role supports multiple control partners (law, compliance, risk, etc.) in gathering requested data and reviewing data to ensure responsiveness and accuracy.
  • Price Waterhouse (PwC) Audits. PwC is hired by Prudential to audit the company's business. To support these audits, this role coordinates the retrieval of data to confirm policy data in administrative systems accurately reflects what the customer has requested.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assess requests and determine appropriate response. Partner with Law and others to determine what is responsive to the request.
  • Evaluate and determine data sources for response.
  • Manage data gathering activities and ensure timely delivery.
  • Perform data testing and conduct policy-level data validation to ensure accuracy.
  • Generate solutions to business or data issues, incorporating risk-based and informed decision making processes.
  • Collaborate with internal and external business partners to achieve business objectives.
  • Lead efforts to develop new or revised processes and procedures.
  • Assist with the enhancement and creation of regulatory reports.

Job Qualifications:

  • Understanding of Prudential Individual Life Products and administrative systems.
  • Understanding of Hartford Individual Life Products and administrative systems (a plus).
  • Critical thinking skills for assessing requests and data from both high-level and detailed policy perspectives and the ability to question and challenge discrepancies to ensure accuracy.
  • Strong project management and leadership abilities.
  • Effective relationship management skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • High level of accountability and ownership.
  • Proficiency in Excel and strong data analytical skills.
  • Goal-oriented with skills in organizing and analyzing information.
  • Strong organizational abilities, with the capability to prioritize deadlines and manage multiple priorities.

Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $65,900.00 to $102,200.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
