What You Will Do
PGIM Real Estate is seeking an Investment Research Associate working in support of the Americas Investment Research team. This position can be based in Newark, NJ, where the team is working on-site 3 days a week.
The investment research team serves to improve investment decision-making of the company through top-down and bottom-up research, create a research-based culture and image for the firm, and enhance overall satisfaction of clients and prospects.
What You Can Expect
- Evaluate investment opportunities by analyzing property markets across major cities in the US and Mexico and real estate sectors (apartment, industrial, office, retail, senior housing, self-storage, etc.).
- Prepare market briefings and presentations on economic and real estate markets.
- Support senior researchers in data analysis, new research, and presentation of research findings.
- Developing presentation materials to communicate market developments and outperformance factors.
- Cultivating data sources and synthesizing research from multiple points into new proprietary recommendations
- Identifying key property attributes that will position our portfolios for sustained future outperformance.
- Evaluating the impact of a new legislative policy on future real estate demand and relative real estate performance across cities.
- Analyzing spatial data using mapping technology to uncover demographic trends and understand why and where tenants make location decisions.
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor's degree in economics, urban studies, geography, or any background rooted in evidence-based research
- 2-5 years of relevant working experience in evidence-based research
- Prior experience in a research role at a real estate investment management or independent research firm
- Excellent quantitative skills, including a knowledge of statistics and economics
- Strong written communication skills, including short-form and long-form reports
- Detail-oriented with critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Superior interpersonal communication skills, with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
What Will Set You Apart
- Advanced degree in a relevant field
- Experience with both U.S. and Latin America markets
- GIS research experience

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $115,000 to $135,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits.
