PGIM Private Capital's Investment Operations team is looking for a results-driven, analytical, and highly motivated individual for an Associate Manager position in their Newark office. The primary responsibility of the incumbent will be to oversee and optimize the operations of trade activities for PGIM Private Capital. This individual will act as the control point for managing all aspects of trade data capturing, cash management coordination with external teams, trade reconciliations, and auditing processes. Additionally, this individual will contribute to the cash and custody functions of the unit as a control point. Serving as the final sign off on these packages, the Associate Manager is responsible for performing due diligence and ensuring the proper documentation is received.
What you can expect
- Oversee daily production following the trade lifecycle including trade capturing, allocations, settlements, and reconciliations into the appropriate systems and platforms.
- Work closely with investment teams, portfolio managers, and back-office operations to ensure smooth execution and settlement of trades.
- Act as liaison for ad-hoc and operational support within PPC and external third parties.
- Monitor all trade activity ensuring investments are accurately recorded.
- Manage and mentor a team of trade operations professionals, providing guidance on best practices and ensuring a high standard of performance.
- Analyze and approve hedge models alongside deal teams and Pru Global Funding to mitigate foreign currency risk for non-USD assets.
- Review daily and weekly reconciliations to ensure all deliverables are performed with integrity and adhere to internal policies, a crucial valuation and audit requirement.
- Support daily cash reconciliation of third-party bank accounts [PGIM Private Capital as the investment manager] to ensure all principal & interest activity has been posted and applied for shadow recordkeeping purposes.
- Assist in portfolio management activities including asset allocation and the execution of asset moves between accounts or portfolios.
- Operate in a controlled manner, meeting all Audit and Risk Management expectations.
- Coordinate and collaborate with auditors to execute annual 10-K, 10-Q, and SOX audits.
- Participate in UAT testing for systems used within PPC and uncover any findings that promote operational efficiency.
- Ensure all transactional activity are documented within specific timeframe and follow record retention policy.
- Review Settlements wires within required timeframes following appropriate protocol.
What you will bring
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Experience managing staff and / or a team
- Experience using WSO, PAM, Excel, Word, Adobe & Cognos preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving skills
- High level of self-motivation
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Familiarity with bank loans
- Ability to multi-task during high volume periods
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently and interact effectively with team members and other internal/external partners
Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $100,000-$110,000 Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
