What you will do

The Retirement Specialist will be responsible for the wholesale distribution of PGIM mutual funds primarily via the telephone, zoom, and other virtual platforms but will include client facing activities through financial advisors and platform wholesalers in specifically assigned geographic territories. The Retirement Specialist will work in partnership with the IBD, RIA and Wirehouse Wholesalers, along with external sales IODC specialists and the internal sales teams to grow the firms Defined Contribution assets under management.

The Retirement Specialist will be expected to help develop, grow and expand the role of PGIM mutual funds, CITs and other investment products within the database of registered representatives conducting Defined Contribution business within the geographic territory. They are expected to grow sales and improve retention of assets under management through investment product promotion and customer service through financial advisors.

What you can expect

  • Provide a broad range of value-added investment solutions by proactive communications with financial intermediaries.
  • Clearly articulate, understand and present the PGIM mutual fund product lines to generate sales and activity.
  • Attain and/or exceed sales goals as set forth by management for the assigned territory and/or branches.
  • Grow Defined Contribution sales production of assigned financial advisors, branches and firms through proactive calling efforts and use of web meeting tools.
  • Meet or exceed productivity expectations as set forth by management.
  • Provide timely follow-up, sales progress and support to Financial Advisors who have generated an Investment Review or other specific Defined Contribution sales tools

What you will bring

  • Strong desire to specialize in the Defined Contribution marketplace and continue to grow their expertise in Defined Contribution issues and strategies.
  • 5+ years of financial services experience in a sales capacity
  • Licenses - FINRA Series 7 and 63 required
  • Insurance Licensing will be required within 120 days of hire
  • Computer competency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other programs such as Morningstar, Lipper, etc.
  • Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment
  • Proven telephone and internet sales skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, highly motivated, professional manner, ability to manage a territory, a desire to succeed and grow with the firm.

Salary Disclosure

Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The base salary range for this role is from $75,000 to $100,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
