What you will do

This individual will be part of the PGIM Fixed Income (PFI) Retail and Sub advisory Team, which is responsible for the ongoing development and support of PFI retail and affiliated businesses. Retail Management is also responsible for sourcing new business opportunities and servicing existing relationships with the Retail Investment market. The team partners closely with PGIM Investments to ensure seamless investor service to clients predominantly allocated to pooled vehicles (Mutual Funds, ETFs) as well as sub-advisory relationships.

What you can expect

  • Become an internal expert on PFI fixed income strategies and global macro-economic outlook to communicate perspectives effectively and persuasively to clients and prospects.
  • Interact regularly with senior investment professionals and attend internal investment meetings to ensure deep and current understanding of PFI positioning and outlook.
  • Travel domestically with affiliated mutual fund regional coordinators to convey market perspectives and strategy insights to financial advisor clients/prospects across wirehouse, independent and RIA channels.
  • Ensure internal partners are fully informed, trained, and supported on PFI managed products and capabilities.
  • Maintain thorough ongoing analysis of key PFI strategies to be used to position capabilities versus peers.

What you will bring

  • 10 years+ Financial Services/investment management experience with specific client-facing experience as a Portfolio Strategist / Client Portfolio Manager.
  • Extensive experience in fixed income and a demonstrable ability to grasp and communicate fixed income concepts in a succinct and digestible manner
  • Strong presentation skills for both one-on-one and large audience formats which can help drive clients and prospects to action and strengthen and build relationships.
  • A deep understanding of investment processes including portfolio and risk management, and the ability to effectively convey key differentiators via both verbal and written communications.
  • An ability to effectively grasp important, value-added aspects of each strategy that will enable the candidate to successfully represent PFI's capabilities to a sophisticated client/ prospect base.
  • Genuine team player with a collaborative style; able to build partnerships and relationships based on trust and credibility. Likewise, confidence and presence to work with senior executives.
  • Strong understanding of the asset management industry and retail distribution.
  • Highly responsive, flexible and oriented toward meeting and exceeding the needs of clients and prospects.
  • B.A or B.S. degree, MBA and CFA designation strongly preferred.
  • Series 7 and 63 required
  • Hybrid role which will require domestic travel as well time in our Newark office,
  • Approximately 50% domestic travel expectation.

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $175,000 to $205,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
