What you will do

Prudential's Global Sourcing and Procurement (GSP) empowers Prudential globally to drive the greatest value by leveraging supplier partnership. GSP provides our global customers easy access to products and services at the greatest value through business insights, market knowledge, seamless and efficient processes, and professional expertise.

This role of EMEA Procurement Director (IPD) will provide dedicated sourcing and vendor management support to PGIM's EMEA businesses. The role will support PGIM's rapid growth and expansion outside of the US through partnering with Prudential's category management to ensure that PGIM is working with high performing and cost-effective suppliers.

Your role will be a key member of Prudential's category team and will partners closely with PGIM EMEA Stakeholders, Legal, Vendor Governance and the GSP Procurement and Category Management team to provide best-in-class procurement support to Prudential on critical initiatives.

What you can expect

  • Business Partnering: Become a trusted business advisor, adding actionable insight and knowledge to PGIM.

    - Strong relationships with PGIM operations team to ensure early procurement partnership to achieve faster and better results.
    - Being a single point-of-contact for PGIM EMEA, supporting issue resolution and driving stakeholder value
    - Creating customized data analytics back to businesses to provide insight across sourcing and procurement.
  • Category Management: Drive maximum value from external spend globally by:

    - Partnering with the category management teams to cultivate bold and diverse while ensuring business alignment and incorporating market intelligence, tech forward solutions and detailed sourcing / savings plans.
    - Being accountable for leading sourcing (RFP's), negotiations and contracting, performance management and issue resolution.
    - Support in vendor relationship management across PGIM vendors.
  • Supplier Sustainability: Champion Supplier Diversity and Sustainability, including but not limited to providing opportunity to diverse suppliers and increasing vendor reporting with CDP.
  • Leadership: Act with integrity, lead inclusively and drive higher performance through collaboration with GSP and your partners in the business.

What you will bring

  • Ability to work autonomously using exceptional customer relationship and influencing skills with senior stakeholders.
  • Extensive prior experience in vendor management, procurement, or a strategic sourcing organization.
  • Candidates with strong international sourcing and contract negotiation
  • Superior analytical ability to quickly gather facts, perform root cause analysis and draw conclusions.
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Extensive experience managing change across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Superior negotiation skills to influence senior leadership on strategic direction, business case value proposition and sourcing recommendations.

  • Strong conceptual thinking skills with adeptness to lead others through ambiguous and/or complex issues.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently and knowledge of business requirement and project management principles and methodology.
  • Ability to build consensus and act as an independent arbiter to achieve sourcing outcomes that meet business requirements without sacrificing service or increasing risk/cost.

  • Retirement Savings Plan: Employees receive a company contribution of 10% basic annual salary and a maximum employer-matching contribution of 5% of basic annual salary.
  • Life Assurance & Income Protection: Life Assurance for 12 times your basic annual salary, up to a max benefit of £1.8million. 60% of your basic annual salary for a limited payment term of 5 years, at the end of which a capital sum of 2x your basic annual salary is payable.
