The Prudential Communications team directs communications efforts to ensure the company's messages are aligned and delivered in accordance with Prudential's goals and policies. The organization is evolving as a dynamic ecosystem of subject matter and skill set experts who interact with leaders and colleagues at all levels across Prudential. We are expanding our Communications Enablement organization and looking for a highly creative and diligent individual to join our team as a manager of Operations and Tech Enablement, overseeing communications across various platforms, including our internal portal (Digital Workplace) and Newsroom.

Reporting to the Vice President of Operations and Tech Enablement, this role is essential in enhancing the productivity and operational effectiveness of Prudential Communications. The position involves managing project deliverables across Operations and Tech Enablement, overseeing communication platforms, and implementing change management strategies. The successful candidate will manage internal communications for Prudential Communications and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure the seamless integration of new processes and tools.

The current EWA for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence at our Newark headquarters on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.

What you can expect:

  • Oversee Communications Enablement-owned communication platforms (i.e., Digital Workplace, Newsroom, etc.) and collaboration tools, ensuring they meet information security standards, functionality requirements, and team needs.
  • Develop comprehensive training materials, best practices, and user guides to maximize platform efficiency.
  • Champion the relevance of these platforms within the function and the broader enterprise, managing a content archival process to ensure information accuracy and relevancy.
  • Collaborate with vendors and Tech Enablement to address incidents, critical issues, and platform updates to as part of the strategic roadmap.
  • Manage project deliverables across-Ops and Tech Enablement, ensuring stakeholder alignment and adherence to project timelines and objectives.
  • Design and execute change management strategies for new processes, tools, and organizational initiatives impacting PruComms and the enterprise.
  • Identify and actively engage stakeholders to secure buy-in and promote the acceptance of changes, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption.
  • Develop and implement clear communication plans to ensure employees understand the purpose, benefits, and impact of initiatives, fostering transparency.
  • Produce engaging content for various channels such as Teams, and internal and enterprise-facing sites.
  • Partner with PruComms SLT and HR to assess skill gaps and training needs, working with Learning & Development to create targeted development plans and learning sessions.
  • Devise platform governance policies to ensure alignment with Prudential Communications' content and style standards and enterprise standards and policies covering ADA, privacy, and information security.
  • Identify, develop, and map efficient workflows and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to enhance productivity and operational effectiveness.
  • Develop and track operational measures to evaluate process effectiveness, regularly assess platform performance and usage, and recommend continuous improvements in consultation with Strategic Enablement.

What you'll need:

  • 5-7 years of professional project management experience with demonstrated proficiency
  • Communications experience preferred; bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in platform and channel management, and project management
  • Proficiency in writing and editing.
  • Self-starter with a client-centric and solutions mentality, and ability to work in a matrixed environment
  • Strong relationship management, client engagement, and persuasive influence skills
  • Grace under pressure with a high degree of comfort operating in fluid, constantly evolving situations

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with communications as a discipline (internal and external communications)
  • Deep experience with writing, editing, and platform management

What we offer you:

Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $115,800.00 to $172,300.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
