Manager, Events & Social Media Marketing - Group Insurance

Manager, Group Insurance (GI) Events & Social Media Marketing is a hands-on professional responsible for marketing, planning, coordinating, promoting and providing support for Prudential GI-hosted events and third-party conferences, while managing GI's social presence. This role involves partnering with multiple groups to manage the GI portion of third-party sponsorship budget and strategy, collaborating with brand team to craft our presence at conferences, promoting GI speakers, and regularly reporting success metrics to leadership.

In addition, you will develop and implement social media strategies to enhance GI's online presence. This includes curating engaging content for social media platforms, and monitoring and analyzing social media trends and metrics to inform strategies to improve performance.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in event management, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. social media following and engagement, monitoring and analyzing social media trends and metrics to inform strategic decisions and improve performance.
Responsibilities:
Event Marketing:
- Build and drive the GI event calendar and sponsorship strategy, ensuring they align with the company's brand and objectives.
- Collaborate with teams, including Brand, Digital & Marketing, GI Marketing teams, GI Distribution, and Communications, to ensure events align with business objectives.
- Coordinate logistics for third-party conferences, including vendor management, and on-site support.
- Partner with Marketing teams to ensure optimal "surround sound" promotion of Prudential's attendance, participation, or sponsorship.
- Manage the GI portion of the third-party sponsorship budget and participation for all events and conferences, inclusive of tracking expenses and adhering to budget guidelines.
- Work closely with the brand team to develop and implement strategies for how Prudential shows up at industry conferences.
- Ensure all event materials and promotions are consistent with Prudential's brand guidelines.
- Work with members of the GI senior leadership team to Identify and promote Prudential speakers at third-party conferences.
- Coordinate with speakers to ensure they are well-prepared and have all necessary materials.
- Analyze event data to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement and prepare and present post-event reports to senior management, including recommendations for future events.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers. Maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure high-quality service and cost-effectiveness.
- Facilitate internal communication and coordination to ensure smooth event execution.
Social Media:
- Manage and execute social media strategies to amplify GI's presence across key platforms.
- Generate innovative and creative ideas for social media content.
- Schedule and distribute content across social media platforms, including event coverage, thought leadership, and brand storytelling.
- In partnership with the enterprise social media team, monitor and analyze social performance data, adjusting strategies to optimize engagement and reach.
- Stay ahead of social media trends to keep content fresh and relevant.
Your Expertise:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in event planning and management, with hands-on social media preferred, ideally in a similar industry.
- Strong understanding of social media, including engagement tactics, analytics, content scheduling, and performance tracking
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Proficiency in event and social media management platforms, software and tools, such as Eventbrite, Hootsuite, Cvent, or similar platforms. Familiarity with analytics and reporting tools.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to travel as needed for events.
- Knowledge of CRM systems and email marketing tools.
- Certification in event planning or project management (e.g., CMP, PMP).

Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $118,700.00 to $176,600.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
