Prudential is seeking a highly motivated Manager of Client Services to join the Group Insurance Customer Excellence organization. The Manager of Client Services leads a team who serve as the designated contact(s) responsible to address assigned client's service inquiries. The incumbent filling this role will be instrumental in the continued development, execution, and integration of an innovative Service Model focused on providing an industry leading client experience in collaboration with Group Insurance's (GI) Distribution Organization.

You will work directly with GI distribution and service leaders to challenge the status quo, advance our service capabilities, develop staff and onboard talent across the US. You will also have the opportunity to use your analytical and influencing skills through inquiry root cause trending, leveraging data to collaborate with business partners to reduce inquiry reoccurrence and close process gaps. Given the nature of our business and the strategic initiatives involved, you may be required to work hours that are outside of your local time zone. Flexibility in work schedule is essential to ensure effective collaboration with our internal and external partners located in various time zones.

The current employee work arrangement for this position is fully virtual. While this position does not require your on-site presence on a regular basis, depending on business preferences, there may be occasions where you are required to be on-site at a Prudential office.

What you can expect:

  • Hiring and performance management of assigned work staff located in virtual offices across the continental United States.
  • Oversee the tracking and resolution of client service inquiries; trending results to identify/implement proactive solutions in partnership with distribution and service leaders.
  • Serve as an escalation point for significant customer situations, which entails compliance, regulatory, or procedural risk mitigation to the organization.
  • Familiarity with the Group Insurance products, services, administration systems and service model methodology is preferred.
  • Maintain ability and authority to grant process exceptions associated with scope of work.
  • Manage expenses including salary and travel expenses.
  • Proactively work with business partners to eliminate discovered areas that need improvement to enhance our customer service delivery.
  • Travel to satellite offices to meet with staff, Distribution personnel, and local customer base.

What you'll need:

  • Minimum of 5 years operational and/or relationship management experience, to include 1 or more years of people leadership experience.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract themes and meaningful opportunities from large data sets.
  • Professional presence and ability to provide executive level presentations required.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a proven ability to write clear and concise commentary.
  • Ability to work autonomously and independently to develop staff, process, and business relationships.
  • Proven leadership and change-management skills, team-orientated, and a proactive and optimistic management style.
  • Ability to motivate others.
  • Ability to effectively communicate organizational objectives to associates and coordinate work efforts of others.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% based on location.

It'd be a plus if you had:

  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred, MBA or advanced education a plus.
  • Knowledge of Group Insurance Products and Sales/Service Model, preferred.
  • Strong project management skills, a plus.

The salary range for this role is from $99,300.00 to $147,700.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
