The Human Resources (HR) Programs and Services team owns the operations and delivery for Prudential's total rewards programs, payroll, tax, accounting, and talent acquisition. It also provides data management, application management and shared services operational support for HR. A unique opportunity exists within the HR Delivery Team for a Manager of Benefits Process Management.

Location is in our Newark, NJ location on a hybrid basis ( 3 days/week in office).

The role is primarily responsible for managing the implementation and testing of Prudential's Total Rewards benefits offering such as health & welfare, financial programs and leaves through the My Total Rewards engagement platform. Additionally, this role will be responsible for managing the administration of the Deferred Compensation Plans through company's third-party plan administrator. In this role, the incumbent will work closely with plan design experts, recordkeepers, and the application and data management team to deliver end-to-end solutions that support plan requirements, comply with regulations, and provide an excellent participant experience. This role will also interface with employees and other stakeholders at various levels of the organization.

The ideal candidate should have a broad range of Total Rewards benefits offering, vendor management experience, a process improvement mindset, cross functional project management experience, and strong written and oral communication skills. In this role, you must be able to manage multiple priorities and excel in a fast-paced environment where the ability to work autonomously is critical for driving successful outcomes. Equally important is flexibility and partnering to effectively contribute to team projects and/or provide coverage to teammates as workload dictates. Strong relationships with those viewed as teammates, strategic partners, service providers, and vendor partners are necessary to ensure successful delivery of services and support.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation of Prudential's Total Rewards new benefits offering and technology enhancement initiatives collaborate with benefits subject matter experts to perform user acceptance testing.
  • Identify, advocate, and implement continuous process improvement on customer experience and service delivery from all in-sourced and outsourced relationships for the Total Rewards benefits offering.
  • Assume ownership and governance of services performed by third-party vendor and monitor performance to ensure adherence to contractual agreements and in compliance with plan rules / regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain routine contact with vendors to investigate discrepancies and resolve non-routine issues, offering multiple solutions and policy interpretations.
  • Accountable for the design and implementation of metrics dashboard for My Total Rewards programs.
  • Provide business requirements to the data and process team to build or update system integration files. Conduct acceptance testing when necessary.
  • Partner with legal counsel and plan design team to interpret or establish new policies and admin procedures.
  • Support regulatory filings and audit requests.
  • Fulfill data reporting requests by leveraging support from the data/process management team.
  • Create and deliver effective communications and employee educational presentations.
  • Resolve escalated participant inquiries from other HR functions, and senior executive special requests.
  • Remain abreast of trends in plan designs, technological developments, and regulatory changes.

Qualifications / Competencies:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR Management, Business Administration, or relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of experience managing employee benefits programs.
  • 5+ years of experience in business requirements gathering & documentation.
  • 3+ years of experience in a position of accountability.
  • Experience in managing cross-functional projects and/or HR strategic initiatives.
  • Strong project management, organizational skills, with the ability to adapt to frequent changes.
  • Demonstrated critical and creative thinking skills with a focus on problem-solving, streamlining processes, and improving efficiency.
  • Demonstrated effective communication and interaction skills across all organizational levels.
  • Strong risk management mindset to handle highly confidential data securely.
  • Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) highly desirable.
  • Experience with Workday is a plus.
  • Experience with Artificial Intelligence application in HR space is a plus.
  • Experience with large, complex organization process management is a plus.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite - Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • At times, extended working hours are required to meet business needs.
  • Occasional travel of less than 5%.

Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $118,700.00 to $176,600.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
