As a Lead, Business Intelligence on Prudential International Insurance (PII) Emerging Markets Partnership Practice & Partner Development team; you will partner with product owners, tech leads, designers, engineers and delivery professionals to improve product designs, develop and implement business intelligence dashboard solutions using various BI tools and technologies (i.e. Tableau, PowerBI, Business Objects, etc.). Partner with business stakeholders to define key performance indicators and develop automated, scaled dashboard solutions and communicate effective business insights to various business units. Specialize in exploiting data insights for the generation of business intelligence reports and dashboards, which will be used for problem solving and decision making.

This role is based in our office in Newark, NJ, São Paulo, Brazil or Mexico City, Mexico. Our organization follows a hybrid work structure where employees can work remotely and from the office, as needed, based on demands of specific tasks or personal work preferences. This position is hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring weekly basis at least 2 days per week. This position will require limited international travel.

Here is what you can expect in a typical day

  • Lead/support execution of multiple key Business Intelligence initiatives. Manage day to day development of business intelligence technology solutions. Collaborate and communicate effectively and consistently with business partners to proactively identify needs, prioritize, and develop solutions.


  • Responsible to influence peers, senior leaders and others who are not direct reports. Work across businesses/teams to gain buy-in and build consensus to deliver on dashboard solutions.


  • Own the delivery as per planned roadmaps and report on measurable OKR's, milestones, and ensure solutions are delivered on-time, in budget, and with high quality outcomes.


  • Proactive business engagement, and ensure solutions are robust, tested and leveraging best practices and industry standards. Willingness to experiment and learn new tools and technologies.


  • Collaborate closely with the data science team to establish business rules and data mapping, ensuring seamless integration between data and analytics. Perform "last mile" data manipulation for non-standard requests, and oversee the data intake process.


  • Utilize predictive analysis techniques and modeling software to perform advanced data analysis and forecasting.

The Skills & Expertise You Bring

  • Bachelor of Computer Science or Engineering; Analytics; or experience in related fields


  • Data Analysis & Insight Generation: Analyzing structured and unstructured data to identify insights, patterns, discrepancies, anomalies, and business trends; Integration of data from disparate sources (internal/external); Ability to synthesize results and make business recommendations.


  • Data Visualization: Expertise in relevant data visualization tools: Tableau, Power BI, MS Excel. Additional data visualization tools, e.g., QlikView, Google Analytics


  • Data Wrangling: Preparing data for further analysis. Transforming and mapping raw data to generate insights. Data wrangling through Data Robot, Excel, SQL.


  • Database Management System: Knowledge of how to work with data from (do not build): SQL, Unstructured (NoSQL), Graph / ontology (DB Graph)

Preferred qualifications:

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, R, Python, or other relevant languages.


  • Knowledge of predictive analysis and experience using modeling software (e.g., R, Pythonor similar).


  • Ability to perform data manipulation and transformation using ETL tools or processes.


  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal. Spanish / Portuguese is a plus.

Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $115,800.00 to $172,300.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
