The Chief Investment Office (CIO) is responsible for portfolio construction and asset/liability management on behalf of Prudential's insurance businesses. Business plans contemplate significant new business and reinsurance activities within Lotus Re and Gib Re. Successful portfolio management and asset sourcing planning requires significant analytical resources within CIO.

We are seeking a Vice President for our Global Investment Strategy team to coordinate with Actuarial, Global Portfolio Management, Risk and Finance on modeling and analysis, SAA/New Business Pricing, Interest Rate Risk Modeling/Hedging, & Balance Sheet stability.

The current EWA for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.

What you can expect:

  • Develop familiarity with tools and analytical capabilities with ALM S&A
  • Facilitate/oversee special projects that can benefit from team's expertise encompassing liquidity, capital, accounting metrics and other risk lenses
  • Collaborate closely with Product Development, Investment Risk, Asset Management, Actuarial, Treasurers and Finance

What you'll need:

  • 7+ years of experience
  • Bachelor's or higher degree in a (preferably) quantitative field.
  • Creative problem solver with an aptitude for complex technical work
  • Expert communication skills and capability to coordinate complex projects involving multiple teams.
  • Understanding of insurance liabilities, regulation, and the capital/reserving frameworks with respect to U.S., Japan, and Bermuda jurisdictions

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $180,000 to $210,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
