Premier Account Executive

Prudential's Group Insurance (GI) Premier Client Relationship Management team is seeking an experienced Account Executive to service customer accounts. The incumbent will be accountable for managing relationships with assigned new and existing customers, mobilizing support staff to help maintain and strengthen account relationships growing the business while also resolving issues as they arise. This position entails generating profitable revenue growth by retaining existing customers, expanding business, and achieving customer satisfaction. The Premier Account Executive is typically assigned accounts (500 - 5,000 lives) that vary in complexity.

The current employee work arrangement for this position is hybrid. While this position does not require your on-site presence every day, depending on business preferences, there may be occasions where you are required to be on-site at a Prudential office.

What you can expect:

  • Exercising responsibility for management of assigned book of business, including the advancement of customer specific business plans to identify opportunities to retain and profitably grow business. You will build and maintain cooperative relationships with clients, brokers, and internal business partners to efficiently implement new business, address service inquires and provide consultative support.
  • Presenting the financial components of re-rates, providing clients premium and claim comparison analysis on both participating and non-participating employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for strategic and consultative management of assigned book of business, including the development of customer specific business plans to identify opportunities to retain and profitably grow business and to strengthen relationships.
  • Collaborate with Premier Sales Executives and Regional Account Directors on books of business to identify business growth opportunities, coordinating enrollment, , and support services for assigned accounts (500 -5,000 lives).
  • Build successful relationships and collaborate with internal functional partners to efficiently help win new business by engaging in finalist meetings, implement new business, address service inquires and provide consultative support to brokers and customers at meetings, including stewardship meetings.
  • Actively participate in special projects throughout the year, serve as a resource for new hires for the first six months, and serve as a backup for other team members.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to peer group.
  • Update reporting source systems.
  • Active Life and Health Insurance license or obtained within 30 days of hire.
  • Minimum of 30% travel required.
  • This position requires you to live in the territory footprint.

It would be beneficial if you have:

  • Demonstrated success in servicing multiple small to medium financial/insurance accounts.
  • Three (3) plus years of relevant Group Insurance experience.
  • Self-motivation with the ability to work independently and provide timely results. The ability to develop and grow relationships, while maintaining targeted retention rates.
  • Proven ability to successfully partner with consultants, brokerage firms and/or third-party administrators.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Solid knowledge of group insurance products and services.
