Your Team

As a Director, Tech Lead for the Automation & Orchestration team within Corporate Technology, you will partner with product owners, designers, engineers and delivery professionals to support the End-to-End Process Automation capability. You will provide strong technical leadership and help to deliver solutions to achieve broad automation and orchestration goals. You will also mentor and coach the technical team as you implement capabilities to solve sophisticated business problems, deploy innovative products, services, and experiences to delight our customers! In addition to deep technical expertise and experience, you will bring excellent problem solving, communication and teamwork skills, along with agile ways of working, strong business insight, an inclusive leadership attitude and a continuous learning focus to all that you do. You will report to the Product Owner.

Here is What You Can Expect on a Typical Day

  • Drive the technical vision, designing the overall technological architecture & design of the End-to-End automation for the Financial Management team.
  • Collaborate with product owners and peer tech leads across Corporate Technology and the broader Technology organization to align the roadmap accounting for strengths and opportunities within the technical stack, bringing forward business acuity and knowledge to influence decisions.
  • Guide Agile teams on technology strategy related to coding practices, continuous integration, and automated deployment, as a leader and doer helping to interpret technology strategy into consumable units of work.
  • Mentor and coach the technical team on results and timelines, including support with code reviews, domain knowledge and ownership and bring a deep understanding of relevant and emerging technologies, embedding learning and innovation in the day-to-day
  • Identify and remove complex technical impediments that may arise within the team.
  • Code and help the Agile team to develop solutions and solve all surfacing problems at hand, constantly look for innovative ways of solving technical problems and crafting the solution, not afraid of challenging the status quo.

The Skills & Expertise You Bring

  • Bachelor of Computer Science or Engineering or experience in related fields
  • Strong experience software development, application management and process automation within Financial Management domains; direct experience with actuarial or financial model orchestration preferred.
  • Experience and understanding of control systems, robotics, integration services, workflow. job scheduling, business intelligence, and process optimization.
  • Experience with operational processes to support an active production environment.
  • Lead and effectively leverage diverse ideas, experiences, thoughts, and perspectives to benefit the organization.
  • Ability to learn new skills and knowledge on an on-going basis through self-initiative and tackling challenges.
  • Excellent problem solving, communication and collaboration skills; enjoy learning new skills.

Demonstrated expertise with several of the following:

  • Effective Communication: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Decision-Making & Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Interpersonal Relationships: Knowledge of the techniques and the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
  • Financial/Business Acumen: Strong Knowledge of financial and/or business concepts, tools and processes and how financial metrics are used to monitor and drive outcomes. Includes understanding of company accounts/metrics (ex: balance sheet, profit/loss, cash flow, budget & forecast).
  • Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
  • Agile Methodologies: Knowledge of concept and principles of agile methodology; ability to apply appropriate agile approaches in the processes of software development and delivery.

The salary range for this role is from $160,700.00 to $217,300.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
