Your Team

As a Director, Release Train Engineer in Corporate Technology, you will partner with Chief Product Owners, Solution Architect Engineers, and delivery professionals to improve our Financial Management automation and orchestration capabilities. You will ensure strategy and execution alignment through collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders to solve sophisticated business problems, deploy innovative products, services, and experiences to delight our customers! In addition to your deep expertise and experience in delivery, you will bring excellent problem solving, communication and teamwork skills, strong business insight, an inclusive leadership demeanor and a continuous learning focus to all that you do.

The current EWA for this role is hybrid (minimum of 2 days/ week) in our Newark, NJ office.

Here is what you can expect on a typical day:

  • Serve as servant leadership for the teams and broader organization and act as Lead Scrum Master and coach for one of our Agile Release Train(s), consisting of up to 10 Agile teams.
  • Stand-up, launch, and ensure the ART stays on course by facilitating all if its events, ceremonies, and processes while assisting the ART in delivering value and driving steadfast improvement.
  • Synthesize, track, and communicate Program Increment (PI) objectives, risks, and dependencies with key partners; supervise execution of features.
  • Ensure strategic alignment through collaboration with Chief Product Owners, Solution Architect Engineers, Tech Leads and other partners and collaborators on the ART and across the organization.
  • Provide an outstanding blend of strategic and tactical leadership.

The Skills & Expertise You Bring

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Release Train Engineer
  • Experience in the Financial Management domain, especially actuarial modelling, is a plus
  • Ability to lead independently with minimal guidance and effectively leverage diverse ideas, experiences, thoughts, and perspectives to the benefit of the organization.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of business concepts, tools and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business.
  • Ability to learn new skills and knowledge on an on-going basis through self-initiative and solving challenges.
  • Excellent problem solving, communication and collaboration skills.

Significant experience and/or deep expertise with several of the following:

  • Proficiency in multiple Agile methodologies, including Scaled Agile Framework®, with proven expertise in scaling and delivery across teams of various maturity including start-ups.
  • Expertise in all aspects of Agile Team Facilitation including Pre PI-Planning, PI Planning, Scrum-of-Scrums, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt
  • Proven grasp and practical experience in various Agile toolchains, including Jira, Jira Align, and Miro
  • Strong leadership skills, both strategic and tactical, with a high degree of emotional intelligence
  • Background in Agile delivery with a success record in building new products, capabilities, solutions, and teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Release Train Engineer certification
  • Experience in serving as a Release Train Engineer within the financial services industry across multiple verticals.
  • High degree of comfort in interacting with Senior Leadership Teams

The salary range for this role is from $160,700.00 to $217,300.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
