Prudential International Insurance (PII) is one of Prudential's fastest growing and most profitable business groups. Within PII, the Emerging Markets unit is tasked with an accelerated growth plan to reach double digit growth for the next years. Emerging Markets is present in 11 countries (India, Indonesia, China, Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Ghana, Kenya, and South Africa).
The Partnership Practice is a key contributor of this growth. Our value proposition is centered on the partner and their customers, leveraging their touch points to distribute contextual, relevant and integrated insurance solutions. This is the next level of mass distribution for insurance. For Prudential, the Partnership Practice plays an important role on expanding our addressable markets, while opening a new channel that can take us closer to our vision of helping to solve the financial challenges of a changing world.
What you can expect:
The main responsibility of the role is developing new regional partnerships for Prudential mainly in Latin America, leveraging our regional capabilities to Clients. Position will also be a Center of Excellence to support local teams in pipeline target creation, client negotiations and sales strategy alignment:
- Develop opportunity mapping for go to market pipeline strategy approach.
- Regional Client Development, leveraging personal and company network to create a regional robust pipeline
- Develop the governance of the regional pipeline and implementation for the region
- Manage all sensitive topics of Client negotiations up to its closing, including sensitive contract terms. Ensure alignment with all internal stakeholders from local commercial, products and underwriting teams, to implementation and operations and tech. Most importantly, approve deals with finance as per governance definition
- Work closely with local teams to drive a strong pipeline creation, working as an advisory for industry targets and priorities
- Support local deals negotiations, in special, in RFPs
- Develop standards documentation for RFP Responses leveraging the best of the firm to our prospect / clients
- Understanding of the partner's needs and evaluate new business opportunities internally. Ensure our products are innovative positioned to Client Channel working closely with Products Team
- Support Head of Partnership in closing strategic negotiations in the insurance market to enhance our presence in regional deals, from value proposition creation to close geographic or product gaps
- Work with the Partnerships Team to development and management of the vertical industry strategy for the Partnership Practice at local country and regional levels, identifying potential industries to be distributor partners for Prudential and the value proposition need to win in those spaces
- Work with internal partners, within Pru's ecosystem, to generate or accelerate premium generation from potential distributors of insurance, eg: Wellness team across EM on monetization of databases with insurance distribution programs, both locally and regionally
What you'll need:
- Solid experience in Sales/Business Development positions, mainly in Affinity.
- Desired experience with A&H products, personal insurance, or personal financial products
- Product innovation and user experience mindset
- Strong relationship/networking with the market
- Knowledge of product implementation and new partners
- Strong team player, multifunctional and indirect leadership skills. Ability to influence and educate key internal stakeholders
- Executive presence and great presentation skills for both internal and external audiences
- Ability to think innovatively and out of the box
- Experience on Regional / matrix management roles desirable
- Fluent in English and Spanish and/or Portuguese as a differentiator
