As a Director, Enterprise Business Continuity Management in the Chief Operations Office, team you will collaborate with GTO's various functional areas, individual business units/corporate functions, and other control functions to evolve our Business Continuity strategy toward Operational Resilience.

This team is responsible for maintaining a governance structure and associated policies and standards to enable enterprise-level oversight of business continuation risk. This team is also responsible for building out our Business Service framework that aligns to industry standard Operational Resilience concepts. The team ensures the organization is well-prepared to respond to, recover from and adapt to business disruptions-whether from technology failures, third-party risk, natural disasters, or other crisis- while safeguarding critical business services, protecting stakeholders, and maintaining regulatory compliance. In this role, you will assist in the development of resilience strategies, policies, and framework that reflect changes to the environment and business operations.
The ideal candidate will combine deep expertise in business continuity, disaster recovery, risk assessment with a forward-thinking mindset to embed resilience across all business units, technology, and corporate functions.
Here is What You Can Expect on a Typical Day
- Lead the enterprise-wide business continuity program, ensuring business units have robust, actionable plans that protect critical operations and enable timely recovery during disruptions.
- Oversee the execution of business impact assessments, continuity planning/testing, and recovery strategy development across all business lines.
- Help lead the organization's shift toward an integrated Operational Resilience model, embedding resilience thinking across services, processes, and systems.
- Partner with the BC community to assess and refine recovery strategies based on changes in business operations, technology, and risk environment.
- Establish and manage governance structures to oversee business continuity and resilience program performance and continuous improvement.
- Oversee resilience testing, scenario analysis, and lessons-learned frameworks that complement business continuity planning.
- Collaborate with all business units, Risk Management, Cybersecurity, Technology and Third-Party risk teams to ensure cross-functional integration and resilience.
- Champion a resilience-driven culture by providing training, awareness, and engagement programs across all levels of the organization.
The Skills & Expertise You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, Operational Resilience, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Crisis Management, or Operational Resilience
- Proven experience building and leading mature enterprise business continuity programs
- Demonstrated ability to evolve continuity programs toward holistic operational resilience models
- Ability to lead independently with minimal guidance and optimally leverage diverse ideas, experiences, thoughts, and perspectives to the benefit of the organization
- Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Knowledge of business concepts, tools and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business
- Experience using Open Pages, Fusion Risk Management and ServiceNow
- Ability to learn new skills and knowledge on an on-going basis through self-initiative and tackling challenges.
- Ability to rapidly find, assimilate and correlate information correctly.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking skills and solution oriented
- Demonstrated ability to influence with comfort and ability working between organizational structures to effect significant change, self-starter comfortable working independently and within a team environment
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to connect, build relationships and influence business leaders, across all levels
- Lead and effectively leverage diverse ideas, experiences, thoughts, and perspectives to benefit of the organization.

What we offer you:
Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $152,500.00 to $206,200.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
