We are seeking a highly motivated compliance professional to support Prudential's growing Group Insurance disability and absence business. The position is responsible for providing guidance in support of new business initiatives and issues, advising on key regulatory risks, implementing regulatory control frameworks, and establishing risk-based compliance monitoring and testing programs. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and an ability to effectively partner with business, legal and compliance colleagues across the organization.
What you'll do:
- Provide advice and guidance regarding regulatory risk related to Prudential's Disability & Absence businesses, as well as Group Insurance underwriting process.
- Implement and manage a comprehensive testing, monitoring and issue resolution program related to key regulatory risks.
- Advise business on the impact of key regulatory changes and monitor development of action plans to address resulting control gaps.
- Act as Compliance SME in support of key business initiatives, e.g., product re-design, state filings, claims platform enhancement, SOP/Job-Aid review, etc.
- Develop and maintain adviser compliance policies and procedures.
- Assist with the development of compliance training content for employees.
- Support global compliance programs
- Advise business in responding to regulatory inquiries/exams and resolution of resulting issues and findings.
- Participate in global and U.S. projects, including those related to regulatory changes and changes in the firm's business.
- Review preparation of reports and other materials for internal governance and various committees.
- Participate in ad-hoc Compliance projects and initiatives.

What you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree.
- 3+ years of experience in a compliance, regulatory, audit, operations, or similar control function.
- Candidates must be able to work independently and possess an extremely high level of integrity and accountability.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly motivated and results driven.
- Outstanding research, analytical and practical problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management skills with great attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills; ability to effectively collaborate and negotiate with personnel at all levels.
- Technically savvy including a deep understanding of the MS Office Suite of software.
It'd be a plus if you had:
- Advanced degree.
- Insurance and financial services industry experience.
- Knowledge of Group Insurance Disability and Absence products and regulatory environment.
- Knowledge of Group Insurance Disability and Absence claims processes.
- Experience developing and implementing data driven monitoring programs.

Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $83,500.00 to $129,500.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
