The Human Resources (HR) Programs and Services team is responsible for the operations for Prudential's global total rewards programs, payroll, tax, accounting, and talent acquisition. It also provides data management, application management and shared services operational support for HR. A unique opportunity exists within the team for a Business Analyst, HR Data Process to support the operations of Prudential's ongoing global data needs in HR.

Based on a hybrid support model of internal and third-party vendors, this role will work closely with the HR Operations and Global Technology teams to deliver end-to-end solutions that support data requirements, align with regulations, and provide an excellent user experience. This role will also collaborate with other stakeholders in HR at various levels of the organization as part of new work intake and production support.

This role will be a hybrid work arrangement based out of our Newark, NJ location.

What you can expect:

  • Within the global HR Support model, this position will provide ongoing assistance to the HR Data Management team.
  • Providing daily support in a fast-paced production environment where there is a need for consistent attention to data details and partnering with global HR teams in local regions. Data integrity and accuracy is a critical aspect of this function, and this position will support quality assurance on a regular and ad hoc basis.
  • Support the team's endeavors for continuous process improvement and simplification to regular processes, with a goal of yielding operational efficiencies and / or improve experience.
  • Support business analysis efforts for multiple projects and implementations. This includes collecting and documenting business requirements, analyzing impacts and interdependencies of systems/configurations, partnering with technology teams to translate business needs into streamlined system designs, providing quality review of functional specifications, and coordination/execution of user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Prepare reports and data exhibits for management team(s).
  • Documentation of processes, both existing and future.
  • Partner with the internal technology team(s) that manages system integration files, providing lights-on support and triaging of new issues.
  • Support any regulatory-driven data needs, such as GDPR or DSARs.
  • Address / resolve production issues and related recovery efforts.

What you'll need:

  • Business analyst skills and the ability to use insights to drive process improvements, particularly related to data and systems.
  • Critical and creative thinking, with the ability to think broadly and make connections across multiple programs, processes, systems, and domains.
  • A strong background in data and/or integrations management.
  • Oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively flex style and approach based on the audience (e.g., senior leadership, vendors, technology support, executives, participants)
  • Risk management and control mentality.
  • An investigative mindset that is genuinely curious to know all the details.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills.

I'd be a plus if you had:

  • Experience with production support within a technology and/or data setting, particularly in a large and nuanced global organization.
  • Ability to present and clearly explain technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with large, complex organization process management.
  • Experience in technology or HR Operations.
  • Experience supporting HR Data.
  • Experience creating Macros in Excel/VBA.

The salary range for this role is from $71,100.00 to $105,900.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
