Retail Advice and Solutions (RAS) is an organization focused on delivering advice and guidance to a broad range of customers through 3,000 financial advisors to meet customers' financial needs and assist them in achieving financial goals.   • Planning and Analysis including responsibility and oversight for sales and driver-based planning, analysis and forecasting including preparation and consolidation of financial statements and various supporting analytics in support of the Corporation requirements for annual planning and quarterly multi-year forecasting.
  • Financial Reporting (Controllership) including responsibility for partnering with FSS to ensure accuracy of books and records and that all financial activity has been recorded timely and accurately. Also includes sales and reporting by product, reporting of all driver results supporting our financial s such as GDC, hiring, headcount, productivity, and variance analysis in support of the Corporation requirements.
  • Expense Management including responsibility for planning, forecasting, reporting and analysis of all expenses. Expenses include total Direct and total Indirect costs. Includes partnering with RAS business leaders on expense management, planning and forecasting of expenses and correlated headcount and numerous supporting analytics and deliverables in support of Corporation requirements.
  • Strategic Initiatives and Enablement including responsibility for numerous business cases to provide thought leadership, inform and influence strategic decision making to drive efficiencies, generate ideas for business growth and provide our business partners with insightful and actionable analytics.
  • Support RAS management's understanding of our financial results and foster partnerships with distribution channel leads and their teams in driving profitable sales growth.
  • Identify efficiencies and process improvements, enhancing controls and documentation to allow more time for insightful analytics.
  • Support Business Unit, Corporate and Enterprise initiatives.
  • Enhancing talent and bench strength through employee development, succession planning, diversity, and inclusion

There is currently one Associate Manager opening on the RAS Finance team for a highly motivated person with strong financial reporting, planning and analytical skills leadership and communication skills.

What you can expect:

  • Partnering across the team and working with business leaders on a portfolio of initiatives to help drive strategic growth and enhance profitability. This will include working on strategic business cases and assisting, from a financial perspective, in the launch of new and innovative business initiatives.
  • Assist in coordination and preparation of various strategic presentation materials including helping drive and facilitate discussions at meetings with our business partners.
  • Assist in creating an operating model to produce financial metrics, insights, and analysis of profitability by firm including leading and lagging indicators to help measure and improve each firm's profitability performance. This role will help drive strategic change to achieve profitability goals and gain exposure to Field leaders.
  • Support BAU process, including multi-product line sales and driver forecasting, partnering across our team to integrate strategic actions and decisions into our financial reporting and multi-year forecasting, as well as P&L reporting and analysis for quarter close.
  • Collaborate closely with business leaders and provide financial analysis to support the ongoing execution of growth strategy and other business case/transformation initiatives.
  • Conduct producer profitability analysis.
  • Support the team in completing various requests to meet Business Unit, Corporate and Enterprise initiatives.
  • Continue to seek efficiencies and drive operational process improvements across the team.
  • The successful candidate will interact frequently with business partners and other areas within the RAS Finance team and other areas within the Company as necessary.

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 4-6 years of experience in in Planning & Analysis and/or financial reporting of business line results.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to influence indirect reporting relationships and business partners.
  • Highly motivated and creative/strategic thinker
  • Ability to thoughtfully challenge the status quo
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to succeed both independently and as part of team.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple deliverables and meet deadlines.
  • Strong Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills

The salary range for this role is from $90,100.00 to $134,100.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
