Required Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Care or Two year technical program.
• Coursework/Training: Complete the PRMCE/AARC Preceptor Training Program (or equivalent)
• Maintain/achieve two (2) elective competencies; one (1) from an Advanced Clinical Competency and one (1) from a Departmental or Professional Engagement activity.
• Bachelor's Degree in one of the following (counts as two):
• Respiratory Care
• Health Sciences and Administration
• Chemistry/Biology/Physics/Math
• Research
• Education
• Management/Business as applied in the Healthcare Setting
• Medicine Related
• Washington Respiratory Care Practitioner License upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
• National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.
• National Provider NRP - American Academy of Pediatrics within 90 days of hire.
• Rapid Response Team qualified upon hire.
• Adult or Neonatal Intubation Certified upon hire.
• 5 years as Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• 6 months RCP I at PRMCE.
• 3 years - Actively
• working in 2 of 4 critical care areas with a minimum of 3 years and:
• Emergency Department
• CSSU/CCU
• NICU
• Labor and Delivery
• "In the last 2 years, the RCP II has worked approximately 25% of their shifts in 2 of the 4 critical care areas with a minimum of 4 shifts per year in each of the 2 critical care areas."
