Part-Time Math Fluency Coordinator

Job Summary

The Math Fluency Coordinator analyzes data and works with the Math Director and directly with teachers in understanding assessment data to generate effective responses to scholar needs within math fluency and intentional small group instruction practices.

In addition, the Math Fluency Coordinator supports curriculum and instruction in alignment to Propel's data and state standards/eligible content. This support will be conducted through curriculum development and revisions, professional learning, and coaching.

The Math Fluency Coordinator is a part time position and works up to 20 hours per week. This is a year-round position.

Key Job Elements

  • Supports the implementation of Spring Math (math fluency practices) in regards to effective, consistent routines and procedures
  • Supports teachers with analyzing Spring Math data to determine small group and individualized instructional needs and strategies
  • Supports teachers with curriculum, assessment, and instruction
  • Develops and/or provides professional learning around curriculum, best practice, and standards alignment
  • Implements coaching cycles in collaboration with the Director of Math
  • Performs other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Math

Qualifications & Skills

  • Level II Certification
  • Math Certification
  • Master's Degree in Education
  • Exceptional communicator who can recognize the needs of various stakeholders and problem solve effective solutions.
  • Technology savvy for web-based instructional techniques and tools, computer proficiency, including Google Applications, and internet tools.
  • Experience in analyzing data and using results to provide intentional instructional moves to help every scholar succeed
  • Excellence in time management, organization, multi-tasking, prioritization, and follow-through
  • Successful experience with providing professional learning opportunities to improve instructional effectiveness
  • Models a Growth mindset - Belief that you will be better at your job tomorrow than you are today. You seek feedback, are eager to implement it, and are unafraid to push yourself, your team, and our schools and network to improve.
