Opportunity: Manager of Nursing
The Manager of Nursing will act as the nurse at a Propel Schools location. In addition to the daily duties of a full time school nurse, the Manager of Nursing will supervise and coordinate all nursing activities across our 13 locations working with the nurse at each location.
The Manager of Nursing is responsible for supervision, coordination, collaborating, planning for and providing direct services to ensure that the school district's health program as defined by the Pennsylvania School Code, School District Policies and the Pa Department of Health-Division of School Health Regulations is carried out according to the specifics in the law and within the parameters established.

The Manager of Nursing will assist in the implementation of the school health program and ensure all state requirements are met. The Manager of Nursing will work to ensure all nursing policies are up to date and update manuals and procedures related to current trends and policies regarding student physical and mental health.
This position is a 220 day position with 5 extra days paid at the daily rate.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience acting as a Certified School Nurse or Staff Nurse.
- Current PA registered Nurse License.
- Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Current certification in CPR Adult/ Child, First Aid and Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
- Background/experience preferred in pediatric nursing, community health nursing, critical care nursing, medical-surgical nursing and/or emergency room nursing.
- Knowledge of current Child Abuse Law/ ACT 126.
- Required Act 48 continuing education coursework for nursing license and Education Specialist II certificate.
- Current required State and Federal clearances/ TB test.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency with computer skills and word processing.
- Ability to work cooperatively with numerous departments and personnel within the school setting.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Compensation: Propel provides a competitive salary. Relevant prior work experience will be considered when determining placement within our salary range.

- Retirement: New hires participate in a 403(b); Propel contributes 5% automatically and matches up to 4%. This increases after 5 years.
- Paid Leave: In addition to 16-19 paid holidays annually, the Manager will receive 5 sick days and 10 Personal Days.
- Tuition Assistance: Reimbursement of up to $3,000 annually upon completion of course and receipt of grades for coursework that meets our eligibility requirements.
