Extended School Year Coordinator
Extended School Year (ESY) for the 2024-2025 school year will take place June 30 - July 18, 2025. The ESY Coordinator is responsible for preparing the program, providing supervision and feedback to teachers, and all aspects of the program. A report on the success of the program is due upon the program's completion to the Director of Pupil Services.
Job Duties:
- Before ESY-Prepare and Plan for ESY
- Set up food services
- Plan themes
- Plan for academic and behavioral expectations
- Design Programming
- Review job descriptions with Director of Pupil Services
- Assist Pupil Services Administrative Assistant with Transportation
- Coordinate date and facilitate trainings and planning for and with ESY staff
- During ESY

- Facilitate door to door services with students and adults
- Support the day academically and behaviorally
- Oversee daily ins and outs of food service and transportation
- Lead morning and afternoon meetings
- Arrival duty/attendance
- Rounds (assigned times frames to make rounds and visit classrooms and interventions sites)
- Communicate expectations with staff
- Communicate with staff on daily/weekly needs, etc.
- Point of contact for ESY staff
- Collect and organize data for students
- Facilitate communications between ESY experience and home-school special education teacher
- Prepare overall ESY summary for Director of Pupil Services
Qualifications and Skills:
- Teacher certification
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines for turning in Scholar grades, communication logs, and pay sheets
- Excellent organizational skills

- Act 114 FBI Clearance
- Act 151 Child Abuse Clearance
- Mandated Reporter Training
- Act 168 Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure
- Act 24 Arrest and Conviction Disclosure
Compensation: Coordinator will receive a $5,000 stipend to be paid based on a performance rubric that includes the results, communication, organization, and professionalism.
Eligibility: 220 day or calendar year employee with a teacher certification
