As Software Engineering Group Manager in the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Group you will be responsible for maintaining, developing and innovating engineering and analytical solutions involving behavior detection, transaction monitoring, case management, SAR filing, model tuning and calibration, segmentation and optimization of various AML Applications. The manager will be responsible for work on identifying, developing and implementing data-driven and analytics focused engineering solutions to ensure efficient, effective and adaptive transaction monitoring, customer risk scoring and sanctions screening models to ensure adequacy of coverage. You will manage a team of software engineers, data engineers and analysts

Key responsibilities and required experience:
o Manages the priorities and strategy of software engineering for BSA AML & Sanctions Compliance
o 10+ years of experience in risk and compliance software engineering in a regulated financial services environment
o Hands on experience in designing and developing solutions for AML transaction monitoring, modeling, case management and SAR filing
o Provides senior leadership, direction, and methodology for the engineering team to create and enhance solutions for AML modeling
o Recruits, trains, and develops best-in-class team(s) of data engineers, software engineers and testers
o Works with leadership to identify technology solutions to business and compliance requirements in AML operations and modeling. Leads planning activities including budget and scope determination.
o Experience with international compliance requirements and programs
o Experience developing end-to-end compliance risk management programs and solution implementations
o Domain knowledge on AML (Anti Money Laundering) / Transaction Monitoring, KYC (Know your customer), ECM (Enterprise Case management) preferred
o Prior hands-on experience working in OFSAA FCCM Behavior Detection 8.x version, customization of FCCM data models, BDF workflows and AML Scenarios

Competencies:
o Suspicious Activity Reporting (SAR) - In-depth knowledge of SAR requirements and processes
O Regulatory Compliance - Experience in managing technology for complex regulatory compliance requirements in AML
O Data Analytics: Proficient in data mining, visualization, and interpretation using tools such as SQL, Python, and Tableau.
o Expertise in Unix Shell Scripting & PL/SQL
o Extensive experience with Oracle Database, SQL, exposure to Java, Shell Scripting, Python and Web technologies.
o Software Architecture - Experience in designing systems and software components in AML
o Data Engineering - Knowledge and ability to create data pipelines and standards to govern which data is collected, and how it is stored, arranged, integrated, and put to use in data systems and in organizations.
o Modeling: - Knowledge of behavior detection models and scenarios in AML o Prototyping - Knowledge of and ability to implement prototyping disciplines, tools and techniques in evolutionary models within the target environment.

Work Experience
Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree. Higher level education such as a Masters degree, PhD, or certifications is desirable. Industry-relevant experience is typically 8+ years. At least 5 years of prior management experience is typically required. Proven leadership experience with a moderate to large scope of responsibility is required. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
