As a Software Engineer Lead within PNC's Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Cleveland, OH, Birmingham, AL or Dallas, TX. The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager's discretion.

Job Description
  • Creates and leads the technical design and development of software solutions.
  • Proposes & designs software solutions to address complex business needs. Prepares technical and procedural documentation required.
  • Facilitates complex problem resolution.
  • Provides technical guidance and support to colleagues. Reviews coding, testing, and documentation of software.
  • Applies modern principles, methodologies and tools to advance business initiatives and capabilities.
  • Leads and participates in the monitoring, maintenance, support and modernization of systems and software to ensure stability and compliance to technology standards.
  • Performs maintenance, including installation of patches and upgrades, certificate management (add/change/remove), and vulnerability remediation.
  • Coordinates with delivery teams to ensure changes are implemented in order to maintain a stable production environment.
  • Ability to lead teams with assess initial severity, gather impacts, engage necessary support teams, and escalate as necessary to ensure timely restoration.
  • Analyze and identify root cause of incidents. Gathers information and reports out on design, reliability, maintenance problems and bugs.
  • Monitors systems availability, performance, and capacity against baseline metrics and reports trends. Implements methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for monitoring software reliability and resolving incidents.
  • Educates and coaches more junior staff to ensures in depth knowledge of supported systems and applications.
  • Leads application governance, such as required attestations, continuity testing, impact analysis, responding to audit/regulatory inquiries and complying with technology standards.
  • As part of the L2 support team, participate in off hrs on call support on a rotational basis for production systems.
  • Experience with on call support for triaging problems, coordinating with various support teams across the organization and carryout activities related to incident and problem management
  • Apply automation and scripting to assist in proactive incident detection and management (self healing).
  • Collaborate and communicate with all lines of business and management the overall status and health of the application, causal analysis, develop shared/common solutions, proactively identify cross functional or technical issues.
  • Experience leading various production support roles (technical - L1/L2/L3) and hands-on experience in using at least 2-3 widely used monitoring / scheduling tools.

Pay Transparency

Base Salary: $55,000.00 - $179,400.00

Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education.
