As an Operations Manager Sr. within PNC's AMG Trust Statement Analysis organization, you will be based remotely within the PNC footprint.

This is a remote position. Work may be performed from a quiet, confidential space in a home location, approved by PNC. This position may not be available in all geographic locations.

As a Sr. Operations Manager you will be responsible for the management and oversight of all alternative investment processing on our Trust Accounting system, which is approx. 4,000 assets, and will manage 4-5 staff members.

We have 3,106 off platform alternative investment assets on our system, as well as 881 on platform alternative investment assets on our system. Oversight would include ensuring all activity is processed timely and accurately, ensuring pricing has been updated appropriately, and ensuring that our trust system is in balance with the fund. The annual transaction volume for alternative investment processing is approximately 30,000 transactions.

The team is responsible for producing statements for trust accounts in Asset Management, as well as reconciling out of balance trust statements, and updating statement coding in the trust system. You will also mirror 3rd party statements to ensure they match and will be working closely with the team but also responsible for managing your own book of clients.

The ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications:

- securities and asset management background
- securities processing background
- private equity and hedge fund experience
- accounting and reconciliation experience
- attention to detail
- experience managing others

Job Description
  • Defines the overall strategy for their business functional unit within operations. Executes operating plan. Communicates strategy to operations team. Responsible for multiple functions across one or more sites. Manages managers, supervisors and/or individual contributors. Participates in industry forums.
  • Manages and is responsible for achieving desired business results. Acts as a senior point of escalation and resolves exceptions on most significant and complex issues, processes and products. Serves as a senior level representative for an operational group. May interact with customers and/or third parties to drive business results in resolving escalated issues. Own third party and/or senior level business partner relationships.
  • Manages all human resource related activities for direct and indirect reports and drives employee engagement. Provides coaching and development to operations managers and supervisors. Leads staff meetings, communicates strategy and translates into tactical operating plans.
  • Provides consultation and advice to service partners and customers. Identifies and influences strategic improvement initiatives and serves as project sponsor. Review and approves standard operating procedures as appropriate. Drives policy improvements.
  • Owns the control framework for unit(s) of responsibility. Establish and monitor key risk indicators to ensure effective quality risk management. Manages and is accountable for risk mitigation and business resiliency strategies. Verifies work processes to ensure completeness, accuracy and conformance to established service levels, department controls, risk tolerance and applicable procedures.
