As a Data Analyst Sr within PNC's ACFR organization, the preferred candidate will reside and work in one of our Technology hub locations: Pittsburgh, PA or Strongsville, OH or Dallas, TX or Birmingham, AL. Responsibilities require time in the office with the opportunity for remote work at the manager's discretion.

The Regulatory Risk Management team in Technology Group at PNC is dedicated to developing innovative data products and business process solutions to support the Regulatory Reporting, Data Submissions and Finance Capital Reporting teams at the Bank. The Data Analyst Sr will work on business and regulatory requirements related to FRY 9c, FRY 14M/Q, Single counterparty Credit limit FR2590, Basel III. The role requires subject matter expertise in Financial and Regulatory Reporting for Financial Institutions well as tools and methodologies used for business analytics.

• Experience working as a Data Analyst Sr, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis or modeling for Asset Liability Management, Treasury Management, Credit Risk Management or SCCL/Basel III Regulations
• Working knowledge of Banking, Financial markets, and products with ability to analyze Regulatory implications of all on and off-balance sheet activities. Working knowledge of various asset classes like Commercial/Retail loans/leases, Derivatives, Securitized Assets or Equity.
• Experience in FRY 9c, FRY 14M/Q, FR2590, Basel III and the corresponding regulatory submissions would be highly relevant. Detailed knowledge of the reports and report layouts pertaining to specific schedules within any of these regulatory reports in required.
• Relevant work experience in interpreting Fed instructions for specific regulatory reports and converting them to technical requirements for building the regulatory reports.
• Good understanding of the Capital regulations for U.S Banks
• Intermediate to advanced level SQL skills for data analysis in Oracle and Teradata databases
• Proficiency in Excel, with exposure to BI tools such as Tableau / Microsoft Power BI / Oracle BI
• Must possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Provides consulting services to internal business groups on process improvement projects designed to improve business results.
• Extensive experience in the analysis, definition and documentation of business and data requirements.

  • Manages and develops information systems for clients; conducts data information analysis for a variety of studies under the direction of organizational standards.
  • Advises end-users on data manipulation, end-user support systems and statistical analysis.
  • Selects new information sources and acquires stock. Catalogs and indexes new materials.
  • Implements and supports technologies for managing and effectively utilizing multiple information sources, formats and uses.
  • Researches customers needs, conducts awareness and promotional sessions for potential customers.
