On-Site Work Arrangement
The Conference and Services Audio/Visual Group (A/V Group) is responsible for providing technical planning, coordination, and support for all PJM multimedia events. These events include large conferences/symposiums, training sessions, various stakeholder meetings, as well as a variety of daily business meetings between PJM staff, stakeholders, and governmental agencies. The A/V Group also provides Tier 1 support for all technical equipment installed at PJM's campus including the daily operation and support of a state-of-the-art corporate conference center.
As a member of the A/V Group, the Audio Visual Services Analyst is responsible for supporting all PJM internal and external events that require technical assistance. Daily support activities include a variety of technical tasks such as configuring, operating, and trouble-shooting integrated A/V systems, a variety of projectors/displays, microphones, various sound equipment, computer systems, internet-based collaboration software tools, computer networking settings, operating the broadcasting studio, leading special projects and video conferencing systems.

Essential Functions:
- Technical support for PJM's Conference and Training Center, other corporate conference rooms, and certain offsite events
- Diagnosis and resolution of hardware, operating system, and software problems
- Support Webex and Teams meetings for PJM Stakeholder meetings, external and internal meetings
- Production support of multimedia events (streaming audio and video)
- Assist with maintaining AV inventory and Asset Management
- Monitor Teams Admin and MTR alerts, dispatch AV techs for troubleshooting of equipment
- Create and support meetings using WebEx and MS Teams collaboration software
- Schedule WebEx meetings, assist with scheduling AV staff, respond to all AV emails
- Participate or lead PJM projects and initiatives which integrate with the PJM A/V functions
- Develop and maintain documentation for PJM AV equipment and Standard Operating Procedures
- Perform and track Preventative Maintenance
- Setup and operation of live studio streaming with cameras, lighting, audio, video switching and the ability to live stream into Webex and MS Teams meeting
- Build and develop strong relationships by providing superior customer support as demonstrated by clearly owning, resolving and communicating issues and problems; being responsive to needs, requirements, and deadlines; and generally promoting goodwill in a professional and trust-building manner
- Frequent moving and lifting of equipment and furniture is required to support onsite and offsite meeting setup and teardown
- Occasional driving is required to provide support to remote meetings (personal vehicle and/or company vehicle with equipment)
- Position requires some flexibility in daily scheduling; position is mostly on-site
Characteristics & Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Multi-Media, Broadcast, Audio/Visual disciplines, or equivalent work experience
- At least 4 years of work experience
- Ability to produce high-quality work products with attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment
- Experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Experience using verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (MS-Word, MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint)
- Experience assessing and evaluating new products, services and tools for large meeting support; including but not limited to: A/V equipment, sound equipment, meeting support tools/equipment, voting systems, and vendors
- Experience operating a variety of current A/V technologies
- Experience using hardware and software offerings for optimization of A/V services
Preferred:
- At least 4 years of experience creating recordings of multimedia events utilizing HD video
- A critical eye with a focus on all aspects of media production (including lighting, setting, and style adaptation)
- Experience with PJM operations, markets, and planning functions
- Experience supporting any of PJM Committees
