The Strategic Sourcing team at Pinterest is a highly skilled and highly leveraged team which has an opportunity to make a significant impact to Pinterest's success. This role will be influential in helping to significantly reduce costs for the General & Administrative (G&A) team as part of that larger opportunity.
What you'll do:
- Works in conjunction with manager to support strategic sourcing initiatives and negotiate deals for G&A to optimize purchasing value and contain future costs
- Develop RFPs, drive bidding by obtaining quotes and negotiating where appropriate
- Become a trusted advisor to G&A stakeholders
- Identify, evaluate and manage relationships with key suppliers
- Create long-term pricing models with measurable service level/performance criteria
- Develop sourcing insights, benchmark, and research market intelligence to stay current on industry trends
What we're looking for:
- 4+ years of strategic sourcing or purchasing experience with an emphasis in services and technology
- Ability to work cross-functionally
- Outstanding communication, strategy, and negotiating skills
- Exceptional analytical abilities
- Experience influencing sourcing strategies
- Entrepreneurial, flexible, and collaborative
- Engaging, team-player who thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledgeable in Oracle Purchasing, Contracts Management Systems, Supplier Management, or other related purchasing tools or efficiency tools
