Philips is seeking an Integration Engineer (IE) for the Patient Care Monitoring Solutions/Customer Care Solutions Center (CCSC) group. This position will be reporting out of the CCSC and may require some travel. The PCMS business serves the healthcare community through effective and efficient management of capital medical equipment/solution implementation in various areas within the healthcare continuum.

  • Provide remote systems integration support for end user problems using the latest remote access technologies as appropriate
  • Assist with systems integration related escalations in support of remote service engineering team.

  • Provides telephone support to external and internal customers when needed
  • Resolves customer satisfaction issues by providing solutions to complex issues
  • Defines and escalates customer satisfaction and product issues as appropriate
  • Provide on-site support in critical customer situations, as determined by their manager
  • Take a self-directed leadership role in the support and resolution of issues
  • Impart technical knowledge and expertise to the Remote Service Engineering team.
Additional responsibilities include:
  • Design and lead the implementation and testing of complex IT integration solutions following industry and proprietary real-time patient data transfer requirement.
  • Provide consultation to healthcare institutions on IT integration strategies and system integrations.
  • Troubleshoot complex system integration issues to ensure acceptable (QOS) Quality of Service.
  • Lead installation of complex multi-phase systems composed of IT infrastructure and patient monitoring in both clinical and non-clinical environments across an expansive geography.
  • Provide technical review of system configurations to ensure viability of system performance.
  • Lead and direct a diverse team of internal and external installation resources.
  • Shares responsibility of successful project completion with the assigned Project Manager and project team.
You're the right fit if:
  • BS Software Engineering or Computer Science disciplines with at least two years' experience or at least ten years' experience in Healthcare/IT environments preferred.
  • Must have Minimum ten years experience in configuration, installation, testing of Alarm Management systems including IEM, CareEvent, PICiX, other patient monitoring systems, nurse call and related output systems..
  • Must have ability to identify issues and effectively escalate them to escalation tiers and the business (BU).
  • Must have experience in setting up lab environments for interoperability testing and new product roll out.
  • Must have experience with product testing and understand product design for integrations and system operation.
  • Must have broad knowledge of systems operations and interoperability.
  • Extensive knowledge of information system technologies as reflected in formal Microsoft, Cisco, VM, or Active directory certifications desirable.
  • Extensive knowledge of Patient Monitoring systems as reflected in completion of formal vendor training desired.
  • Extensive knowledge of HL7 and Electronic medical record systems.
  • Own technical issues through resolution.
  • Influence internal and external resources to a stated objective without formal lines of authority.
  • Effectively communicate to CXO level management - internal and external.
  • Deliver required results with high levels of customer satisfaction, both internal and external.
  • Previous experience working in a healthcare environment required with emphasis on interoperability systems.
  • Ability to travel approximately 10%, to where the projects require.
  • Healthcare IT is a 24x7 business - must be willing to work 2nd or third shift.

Philips Transparency Details:

The pay range for this position is $80,500 to $138,000, annually. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. Employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
