Security Leader- AM&D (Malvern, PA or San Diego, CA)

The Security Leader is responsible for leading the strategic direction of the security operations function within the Ambulatory Monitoring & Diagnostics (AM&D) business; ranging from planning and budgeting, to motivational and promotional activities expounding the value of security.

Your role:

  • Liaison with and offer strategic direction to businesses, markets & related governance functions (such as Facilities, Risk Management, Q&R, IT, HR, Legal & Compliance) plus executive, senior and middle managers throughout the organization, on security matters such as routine security activities plus emerging security risks and control technologies.
  • Lead the design, implementation, operation and maintenance of applicable security controls, (Product security framework, the Security Management System, etc.)
  • Lead or commission the preparation and authorize the implementation of necessary security policies, standards, procedures, templates and guidelines.
  • Lead the design and operation of related monitoring and improvement activities to ensure compliance with internal security policies.
  • Lead suitable security awareness training and educational activities.
  • Oversee the global regulatory developments that are relevant and determine the implications for Philips and its customers.
  • Ensures secure software development, including life cycle management, identification of requirements, secure product design, and operational effectiveness of products services and solutions.
  • Report on Security Cluster and Business specific Key Risk Indicators (KRIs).

  • You've acquired 5+ years of experience in product/information security, working in a large global organization with practical experience in a highly regulated environment.
  • You have a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Your skills include:
    • Knowledge of various frameworks/regulations such as PCI DSS, ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, GDPR, SOX, ITIL, COBIT, COSO, MITRE ATT&CK or similar (required).
    • Experience in the creation and enforcement of information security (including the sensitivity to establish a risk-based view on compliance), including compliance reporting.
    • Experience in Health information security and risk management (preferred).
    • Accredited certifications such as CISSP or CISM (preferred).
    • Cloud native environment and multi-cloud environment experience (preferred).
  • You have strong interpersonal skills, communication & presentation skills, and the ability to influence and lead.
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position .
  • You have a willingness to travel, up to 25%.

Philips Transparency Details

The pay range for this position is $113,000 to $194,000 annually. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. Employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.

Company relocation benefits will not be provided for this position. For this position, you must reside in or within commuting distance to Malvern, PA or San Diego, CA.
