Research Development Technical Assistant (Pittsburgh, PA)
Your role:
- Develops limited continuous improvement projects involving more than one development unit (works across several laboratories).
- Has developed specialized skills and is multi-skilled through job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience.
- Broadened specialized theoretical knowledge of generic services and the surrounding organization to optimize the development output.
- The tasks to be performed require project management techniques and practices.
- The assignments are stated only in general terms and require own interpretation and analysis and application of project management techniques.
- Applies standard techniques to provide solutions to problems involving a limited number of variables.
- Takes initiative and identifies problems, generates alternatives and recommendations within defined processes.
- Successfully interact with other key group members in the Electrical, Software, and Mechanical disciplines.
- Actively participate and present ideas, concepts, feasibility units, results, and status during periodic review meetings.

- Associate Degree in Electrical Technology or equivalent training
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience required.
- Demonstrated experience in the analog and digital circuitry, required.
- Demonstrated experience in manufacturing of electrical and electronic products, required.
- Demonstrated experience in the analysis of electronic or electro-mechanical components required.
- Experience interpreting schematics and manufacturing documents required.
- Experience with microcontrollers preferred.
- Direct experience using electrical test equipment required.
- Direct experience with data acquisition and report creation required.
- Experience with LabView preferred.
- Direct experience with brushless DC motors and drives, airflow systems, sensors, and RF circuits, preferred.

Additional Information

Company relocation benefits will not be provided for this position. For this position, you must reside in or within commuting distance to Pittsburgh, PA .
