What You Will Achieve

The leader of Cloud Transformation is a leader at the forefront of our technological revolution, transforming Pfizer's business into a one that is predominantly cloud-native and software-defined, unlocking access to novel capabilities and capturing gains in speed and efficiency that translate directly into better healthcare solutions for patients. The leader of Cloud Transformation will define both product and adoption strategies, playing a crucial role in shaping the way technology infrastructure is utilized across Pfizer to advance business priorities. The role will thoughtfully balance an innovative imperative with a need to manage risk, delivering value-optimized outcomes that are market-leading, highly automated, cost-efficient, and cyber-resilient. The leader will be a trusted advisor to the Digital Leadership Team (DLT) on the utilization of advanced technology infrastructures in the pursuit of business outcomes and will influence the development of Digital experiences that inspire our colleagues to deliver on our purpose of improving the lives of our patients. The leader of Cloud Transformation will report to the SVP, Pfizer Digital.

How You Will Achieve It

  • Develops and communicates the company's strategic plan for the use of hosting technologies inclusive of modern cloud and traditional platforms, aligned with identified business needs.
  • Communicates strategies and business benefits at all levels of the organization to positively influence key stakeholders and affect positive change.
  • Develops, implements and drives adoption of multi-cloud capabilities that foster competition, assure access to market leading technology and steadily increase the pace at which Pfizer can innovate.
  • Develops and deploys strategic modernization approaches that enable and prepare Digital application management teams to cost effectively shift legacy applications to native cloud platforms and Infrastructure-As-Code.
  • Maintains control over the P&L for Cloud Transformation, assuring that costs are aligned to consumer requirement and that expenses are continuously evaluated, measured against a competitive marketplace, and optimized.
  • Establishes a solution delivery framework that integrates client facing engagement, solution ideation & design, and multi-product implementation to achieve prioritized business outcomes at scale.
  • Oversees and continually assesses the long-term health, including the ongoing evolution of cloud capabilities, of Pfizer's global infrastructure solutions, in coordination with infrastructure operations teams.
  • Establishes cost transparency for consumers of infrastructure solutions that directly ties expenditures to corresponding business applications and communicates usage behavior and opportunities to optimize spending.
  • Tracks and assures the highest levels of business client satisfaction with Cloud Transformation. Implements programs to achieve continuous service improvement, cost optimization and risk mitigation.
  • Develops and drives automation and the use of novel digital capabilities that improve customer experience, operational performance, resource efficiency, service availability, and security.
  • Develops and implements ongoing initiatives to educate and communicate innovative hosting solution capabilities to Digital Creation Center and business teams, assuring they understand the "art of the possible".
  • Assures Pfizer's access to leading technology and services through strategic engagement with key cloud and infrastructure technology firms and service providers.
  • Cultivates the next generation of Pfizer technology leaders through direct upskilling of strategic thinking, measured risk taking, and leadership development aligned to Pfizer values.

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, engineering, business management or adjacent disciplines.
  • 20+ years of experience in developing and operating enterprise digital technology solutions at scale with bachelor's degree OR 18+ years of experience with MBA/MA/MS.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing division-level P&L and internal charge-back mechanics to flow interdepartmental cost.
  • Experience working with emerging and transformational technologies (e.g., cloud, GenAI) in a regulated industry.
  • Prior experience mentoring, supporting and/or developing technical leaders to achieve strategic outcomes. Team management experience required.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading enterprise-wide transformational initiatives, driving adoption of modern technology solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to indirectly influence key partners and stakeholders.
  • Role model of integrity in values and behaviors.

Nice-to-Have

  • Master's degree in business administration (MBA) or similar.
  • Prior consumer products, pharmaceutical or similar life sciences experience.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $239,300.00 to $398,900.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 30.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program. The annual base salary for this position in Tampa, FL ranges from $215,400.00 to $359,000.00.
