ROLE SUMMARY
The US Prostate Cancer Business is one of the largest and fastest growing franchises within Pfizer. It is anchored by a multibillion dollar asset (XTANDI), a growth brand (ORGOVYX), and a recently launched TALZENNA in combination with XTANDI in Prostate Cancer.
TALZENNA in prostate has the potential to deliver over $1.5B in peak revenues globally and contribute meaningfully to Pfizer's ambition of "25 Breakthroughs by 2025". In the US, TALZENNA+XTANDI launched in2023 in 1L metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) (TALAPRO-2) for patients with HRR-mutations. We are currently preparing for a TALAPRO-2 overall survival launch in 2025 and for a new indication launch in HRR-mutant metastatic castration-sensitive prostate cancer (mCSPC) (TALAPRO-3) expected in 2026. Both the current mCRPC and future mCSPC indications are biomarker-driven, meaning HRR testing is required for patient identification.

Increasing the HRRm testing rate is the most critical lever to reaching TALZENNA's financial targets. As a Pilot-in-Command, this role will lead a fit-for-purpose cross-functional team across marketing, sales, Commercial Diagnostics, advocacy, and supporting functions to increase HRRm testing.
The US Talzenna Marketing Director will join a highly talented marketing team to help drive launch success and ongoing growth for Talzenna, accountable for:
- Talzenna cross-functional diagnostic marketing strategy and execution lead, including initiatives across HCP (personal promotion, NPP, P2P), key account (leading brand testing strategy for KADs, OSADs, ODLs), and consumer
- TALAPRO-3 Market Development and Launch lead, working closely with Global Clinical Research, Global Commercial and GPT
- Talzenna Companion Diagnostic launch lead (launching first-half 2025)
- External partnerships meant to enhance and enable the diagnostic strategy, including Lab partnerships, advocacy, professional societies
- Act as US point-person in GPT for diagnostic initiatives
- Lead OmniPC program, a high-performing omnichannel lab-alert program
- Budget captain and RC captain
- Supporting ad-hoc HCP workstreams that are critical for the success of the brand
The role requires a unique combination of senior level marketing expertise and familiarity with diagnostics or lab background. The role also requires strong strategic and analytical thinking as well as creativity and decision-making skills, along with a proven track record of success in working in a team-based environment, with multiple marketing and cross-functional partners including medical, value and access, advocacy and professional relations, policy and public affairs, sales, account management and business analytics.
This position will report to the Sr Dir, US Talzenna Marketing Team Lead within US Oncology.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Talzenna diagnostic strategy and execution
- Lead a cross-functional team to advance the HRRm testing strategy (aligned with Pfizer's precision medicine stance and Talzenna brand strategy), follow up on new on insights and opportunities and explore and refine new ideas
- Direct responsibility for executing all U.S. diagnostic-related initiatives and tactics, with a focus on innovation
- Lead development of all marketing strategies and educational content for variety of customer-facing colleagues, including Field Sales, Key Account Directors, ODLs, and OSADs
- Partner with Director, Talzenna Launch Lead to provide oversight of the cross-functional US HRRm diagnostic plan
- Co-lead with PFE Innovation Team in-progress project to execute innovative solution to improve HRRm testing in urology
- Identify and execute additional innovative opportunities to drive HRR testing rates (e.g. leveraging AI and other potential tools)
- Support Sales and Key Account Teams with diagnostic analytics and insights (e.g., testing rates, real-time alerts) to drive strategy and execution
- Partner with Consumer lead to develop and execute all HRRm testing DTC tactics
- Dx educational materials and training
- TALAPRO-3 Market Dev. & Launch Lead:
- Partner with the global team (commercial as well as global clinical research) on the TALAPRO-3 launch strategy, focused on co-positioning TALAPRO-2 and TALAPRO-3 and diagnostic strategy , including appropriate communication and messaging transition
- Execute TALAPRO-3 market development strategy, including personal, NPP, and P2P initiatives to improve HRRm testing rates and comfort with PARPi's across new targets (e.g., LUGPAs)
- Companion Diagnostic Launch Lead:
- Lead strategy and execution of companion diagnostic launch in 1H 2025, including development of all educational materials and partnership with CDx vendor
- Inconjunction with Commercial Diagnostics, external partnerships to enhance and enable the diagnostic strategy as well as the overall Talzenna brand strategy
- Partner with Commercial Diagnostics on appropriate strategies and initiatives related to Talzenna Dx objectives (e.g., Lab Alert programs, point-of-care education, educational partnerships)
- Partner with OPSA (Oncology Patient Solutions and Alliances) in particular Advocacy and Professional Relations (A&PR) and Public Affairs on external partnerships to advance our diagnosis strategy, including advocacy and professional partners
- Lead innovative partnerships with third-party vendors (e.g., HiT solutions)
- Partner with A&PR to identify new potential strategic alliances with these customer groups, gain insights, collaborate on resource development, and advance existing partnerships
- Lead Omni-PC omnichannel program:
- Lead strategy and execution of lab-alert program with 10X ROI and multiple Pfizer-firsts
- Program leverages lab alerts from 3 vendors to reach HCPs across personal, email, digital display, direct mail, and other channels
- Budget captain and RC captain
- Leading Talzenna OpEx management and forecasting, working across the team and cross-functional partners
- Act at RC captain, working closely with all Talzenna Marketing, Medical, Legal and Regulatory colleagues to ensure RC excellence, operational quality and effectiveness, and adherence to RC norms
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience required, or Master's degree and 7+ years of experience, or Ph.D./PharmD and 5+ years of experience required.
- Exceptional product management as well as project and cross-functional team management skills
- Comfort with ambiguity, and complex "white space" environments

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior experience with a US and/or global product preferred
- Background in labs & diagnostics would be aplus for this role

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $156,600.00 to $261,000.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
