This individual will be responsible for supporting the Organizational Learning department in implementing a culture of learning and engagement at all levels of the organization. Working in collaboration with the Senior Manager, Organizational Learning and Performance, this individual will assist in executing a strategy focused on building organizational reliability, increasing efficiency, and strengthening employee engagement, knowledge, abilities, and performance.

This role will oversee day-to-day operation of the Organizational Learning department to ensure site's learning needs are identified, provide appropriate recommendations regarding training/learning solutions, and help implement the site's learning strategy.

Team building and collaboration, effective communication skills, change agility, and a high level of engagement represent key success factors in this position.

This role will influence change in culture as it continuously modifies how training is performed at the site. This role will implement a training for competency format and roll it out to the site.

How Will You Achieve It

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Cultivate a culture where improvement and learning are foundational elements of how we do business
  • Oversee daily operation of the site Organizational Learning team; coach and develop team members to ensure flexibility of operations and improve engagement and individual colleague development
  • Develop work plans, schedules, and coordinates activities to ensure completion of assigned objectives. Contribute to development of site learning strategies for both long and short term
  • Implement effective communication and alignment between Organizational Learning personnel and area training facilitators and support their development
  • Track, trend, and interpret training data to ensure strategic goals are met
  • Provide support or project management for site or corporate training initiatives
  • Lead efforts to promote continuous improvement and training leadership opportunities
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to promote learning culture enhancement; continuously review and improve training system SOPs, processes, and programs
  • Monitor site curricula to ensure they are accurately developed, managed, and maintained
  • Evaluate and/or oversee contractors or vendors to develop and/or administer site training programs

Qualifications

Must have:

  • Applicant must have a High School Diploma (or Equivalent) and 10 years of relevant experience OR an Associate's degree with 8 years of experience OR a Bachelor's degree in Education, Training and Development, Instructional Design, Business, Scientific, or another relevant field with at least 5 years of experience OR Master's Degree with more than 3 years of experience, OR a PhD with 0+ years of experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing, quality, or engineering in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Training experience
  • Management experience

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience working in a biopharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing facility
  • Developing and maintaining courses within a Learning Management System
  • A team player with strong interpersonal, organizational, and communications skills. The candidate must be self-motivated, engaged and able to perform moderately complex tasks independently.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Schedule is primarily day shift but may require off-shift work on occasions.
  • The position may require working on the floor in manufacturing areas at times which will require a focus on safety.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $109,400.00 to $182,300.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 15.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
