What You Will Achieve
You will be part of Pfizer's finance and accounting team and have responsibilities at the corporate, division and plant levels. You will assist in establishing and administering a plan for controlling the financial operations and providing the Pfizer management with financial analyses for timely and effective decision making. You will prepare reports that outline the company's financial position and assist in establishing major economic objectives and policies for the company.

You will help in preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, arrange for audits of the company's accounts and establish necessary controls to safeguard the company's asset. You will provide financial planning and control services to various divisions of the company and assist the financial functioning of Pfizer's plants, based on direction from your team.
As a Senior Associate, your knowledge and skills will contribute towards the goals and objectives of the team. Your innovative use of communication tools and techniques will make it easy to manage difficult issues and help in establishing consensus between teams.

How You Will Achieve It
- Contribute to the completion of projects.
- Manage own time to meet agreed targets, develops plans for short-term work activities on own projects within a team.
- Participate in process enhancements to identify root cause of errors.
- Assist in preparing and analyzing schedules in the Monthly Flash Package (P&L reporting) provided to senior management in preparation for the quarterly Earnings Review Meeting with the Controller.
- Support month-end closing of accounts, identify issues, prepare high quality comparative analysis.
- Understand transfer pricing and standard cost development processes.
- Partner with representatives from Tax and Pfizer Global Supply organizations in order to maintain or adapt GMX processes as necessary.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3+ years' experience
- Demonstrated experience in an accounting or financial reporting capacity
- Demonstrated advanced technical US GAAP and financial reporting knowledge and experience
- Effective communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Nice-to-Have
- Master's degree
- Relevant pharmaceutical experience
- Big 4 Auditing experience
- Advanced System Application & Products and Hyperion Financial Management skills
- Knowledge of accounting and financial systems/processes, controls, and ability to translate strategies into financial concepts
- Passion for new ideas and a sustained focus on continuous improvement
