What You Will Achieve

Working with a dynamic team of procurement experts, you will play an important role in negotiating contracts with suppliers for the procurement of IT Software / Software as a Service (SaaS) and IT Services. You will manage the sourcing requirements for all phases of the sourcing process, including project identification and start up, data collection and analysis, option development and recommendation preparation, implementation and supplier management for assigned categories.

As a Manager, you will provide guidance to operational teams for managing projects. Your planning skills will help in preparing forecasts for resource requirements and providing areas of improvement for products, processes, or services. Through your comprehensive knowledge of principles, concepts and theories of the discipline, you will also work towards advancing new concepts and methodologies. You will be able to take a leadership role to facilitate agreements between different teams.

How You Will Achieve It

  • Provide guidance, lead, or co-lead projects, manage own time to meet objectives and plan resource requirements for projects across the division
  • Manage the Sourcing requirements for all phases of the sourcing process, including project identification and start up, data collection and analysis, option development and recommendation preparation, implementation and supplier management for assigned categories
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams often comprised of local, regional and global business and sourcing representatives, to ensure effective development and delivery of sourcing strategies and management
  • Build strong relationships with Global Procurement Sourcing colleagues and leaders and provide support as required for sourcing strategies
  • Deliver targets established for the year, including savings targets and Working Capital objectives
  • Work with teams and suppliers to lead Requests for Proposals (RFP's) and other sourcing projects
  • Lead and manage contract negotiations, ensuring price, legal terms, quality and service targets and standards are achieved
  • Ensure appropriate level of interaction and communication with key stakeholders, arrange, attend and participate in customer meetings
  • Support Pfizer's Diversity and Inclusion objectives as applicable to strategic category management within Procurement
  • Develop and maintain supply chain risk assessments and drive supply chain risk mitigation operations
  • Establish supplier management metrics and processes to drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Benchmark industry best practices in the assigned spend areas and lead the adoption within Pfizer as applicable

Supplier Relationship Management

  • Contributes to the supplier relationship management process to optimize supplier performance and drive cost savings
  • Develops and maintainsrelationships with key suppliers, negotiates terms and monitors performance against established KPIs
  • Leverages strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders to foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Leads regular business reviews with suppliers to track performance, identify areas for improvement, and ensure excellent source value delivered to Pfizer in terms of quality, delivery, cost, and service levels
  • Drive supplier innovation by collaborating with supplier to identify new products, technologies, and process that can deliver exceptional value to Pfizer

Business Partner Relationship Ownership

  • Work withkey stakeholders across the organization to develop and implement sourcing strategies that support business objectives and deliver value
  • Work independently to developGlobal Category Strategy for the category managed with business partners, ensuring alignment to category mgmt. value levers
  • Work independentlyfor the business partners with relation to business needs for managed categories, ensuring alignment to global category strategy and maximizing category mgmt. value levers
  • Work with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for supplier consolidation, rationalization, and optimization, and implement appropriate supplier management strategies
  • Work independently with internal stakeholders, including business leaders and cross-functional teams, to understand business requirements and develop sourcing strategies that align with company goals and objectives

REQUIRED BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills and strong competency with tools
  • Business operations acumen and client engagement and customer relationship management skills
  • Negotiation skills to be able to negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers
  • Knowledge of fundamentals of Project Management, including experience leading projects
  • Comfort with ambiguity & ability to identify innovative sourcing strategies
  • Effective project management & communications skills
  • Business English

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Demonstrated knowledge of procurement systems, processes and procedures
  • Exhibits business expertise and an understanding of the external marketplace and customer requirements
  • Certifications: CPSM, CPM, PMP, MCIPS

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $93,500.00 to $155,900.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 12.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program. The annual base salary for this position in Tampa, FL ranges from $84,200.00 to $140,400.00.

Relocation assistance may be available based on business needs and/or eligibility.
