The Multicultural Clinical Content Directoris a key member of the Participant Experience Content Team. This individual will be responsible for developing enterprise-wide strategies and content to address the unique needs of racially and ethnically diverse clinical trial participants. This individual will also be responsible for developing participant-facing outreach campaigns and participant support materials for clinical trial programs and studies.

Key areas of focus will include:

  • Developing recruitment and retention content for Pfizer's clinical trial programs and studies
  • Maintaining and growing Pfizer's suite of multicultural clinical trial content to educate and build awareness of clinical trials as an option within diverse communities
  • Leading development and execution of the Breakthroughs For All™ outreach, communications and community engagement plans
  • Partnering with study teams to apply these resources and advise on strategies to meet diversity goals for specific clinical trials

In this work, the Multicultural Clinical Content Director will work closely with the Recruitment Strategy teams, Clinical Trials Diversity & Patient Engagement team, the Multicultural Health Equity Collective, and assigned clinical study teams.

This individual should be able to work independently with minimal supervision, have excellent communication, relationship and partnering skills. Successful candidates will have significant and extensive previous experience developing and executing engagement strategies for multicultural audiences as well as creating insight-driven content for clinical trial recruitment.

Multicultural Content Development Role Responsibilities (50%):

  • Generate insights and learnings on the unique needs and barriers to clinical trial participation within racially and ethnically diverse communities
  • Develop culturally appropriate and relevant participant strategies and resources for study teams, investigator sites and partner organizations to leverage within their local communities
  • Develop media campaigns and requisite metrics to raise awareness and build trust in clinical trials within diverse communities
  • Track impact, implement best practices and continuously optimize strategies to meet portfolio and study team goals

Program & Study-Level Content Responsibilities (50%):

  • Lead creative agency in developing a master brand and messaging for assigned clinical programs
  • Ensure study-level outreach content is aligned with overall therapeutic area content strategies and campaign assets
  • Ensure all participant education, campaigns, and messaging are aligned with the program/study strategic positioning and goals
  • Identify category and study level participant insights and define optimal participant segmentation
  • Ensure all participant education and support strategies are patient-friendly and abide by Pfizer's health literacy standards

Experience

  • 10+ years professional experience
  • Must have 5+ years experience developing patient-facing educational content - for example, printed brochures, websites, educational videos
  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience developing strategies and content for multicultural audiences
  • Must have demonstrated experience creating content in both the patient support and advertising spaces

Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to partner well across multi-disciplinary teams to develop critical insight and strategies, and facilitate decision-making
  • Demonstrated experience working with a creative advertising or communications agency
  • Demonstrated ability to understand customer needs, extract key insights, and translate these into meaningful and impactful messages and creative
  • Creativity and/or ability to put innovative approaches into practice in clinical development
  • High learning agility and focus on continuous improvement
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and comfort with operating in situations with ambiguity and "white space"
  • Effective listening and communication skills - gathers input from key stakeholders
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills - ability to effectively manage with senior clinical or medical stakeholders

Work Location Assignment: On Premise

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $161,600.00 to $269,400.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
