What You Will Achieve

Your accounting skills will help in analysis of financial information and preparing financial reports. You will maintain and oversee the accounts and financial records of the company. You will be responsible for preparing the Balance sheet and Profit and Loss statements, and other accounting schedules and reports. You will update the journals, ledgers, and other records of financial business transactions. You will verify this data for accuracy and prepare reports and reviews based on it. You will be responsible for the adherence to and communication of accounting and auditing policies and procedures. You will also manage data entry activities in the accounting systems.

As a Team lead, you will be involved in managing work teams in a division, along with technical and financial resources of the team. You will coach your direct reports on day to day activities. and be relied on to solve complex problems within your area of expertise.

How You Will Achieve It

  • Manage multiple projects (timelines, work plans, deliverables) within a team.
  • Support the Controllers Global Accounting Manager to lead and manage the overall function responsible
  • for operational performance and providing strategic guidance
  • Provide leadership within this function to ensure all deliverables are successfully achieved including
  • operational performance, innovation initiatives, and adherence to compliance requirements.
  • Support and implement required transformations.
  • Configure, enhance and maintain reporting and visualization capability currently built in Power BI.
  • Deliver training and produce required reference material to ensure reports and dashboards adoption.
  • Configure, enhance and maintain reporting and visualization capability currently built in Power App & Power Automate.
  • Partner with senior leadership to develop and translate the vision and strategy of Pfizer from a system, process, policy,
  • and procedures perspective
  • Assist in the design and implementation activities regarding ways to streamline and standardize operations
  • Act as a Business Partner to the Global Pfizer organization, market FD's and other business stakeholders. Play a key role
  • in the development of global financial processes and enhance the capacity of the Controllers group.
  • Understand the functionality, interfaces, and interdependencies of Pfizer's financial processes and systems; ensure the
  • existence of adequate internal controls
  • Help drive the US GAAP reporting process through to timely & accurate submission
  • Serve as a key liaison between supported markets/divisions related to general accounting issues, accounting inquiries,
  • reporting requirements, and ad hoc requests
  • Identify opportunities for accounting and reporting process enhancements and work with staff and senior management
  • to implement
  • Report on key performance metrics within Record-to-Report processes
  • Support the Latin America consolidated financial statements preparation process including review of financial
  • statements, resolution of complex accounting issues, reporting to senior management etc.
  • Ensure accounting transactions follow Pfizer accounting policies and US GAAP.

Qualifications

Must Have

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • Minimum of 5 years of technical accounting required
  • Public accounting experience required
  • Practical experience of US GAAP and Statutory Accounting, and an Experience of other GAAP's an advantage.
  • SAP, FCCS experience required
  • Advance Knowledge in Power automate, Power app's, Power BI, VBA programing knowledge
  • Agile Certifications
  • Knowledge of data modelling techniques, metadata and data transformation
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in project management
  • Fluency in English and Spanish Required and Portuguese Desired
