What You Will Achieve

The GKOL Contracting Partner (Sr. Associate) will partner with key stakeholders/asset team(s) or a particular therapeutic area to help plan and manage tactical activities related to Key Opinion Leader (KOL) and external expert interactions. The colleague serves as a key interface with cross-functional team members to manage all aspects of the Health Care Provider (HCP) engagement/contracting process utilizing Pfizer's contracting system(s). In conjunction with the objectives of the Global KOL Contracting Excellence group, the position will provide subject matter expertise to ensure KOL related deliverables are met or exceeded and compliant.

How You Will Achieve It

The Global KOL Contracting Partner (Sr. Associate) serves as a key interface with cross-functional team members for a designated asset(s) or therapeutic area. He/she will utilize subject matter expertise to reduce operational burden for teams, improve efficiency, adhere to compliance requirements and proactively respond to challenges related to the planning and execution of Global KOL/External Stakeholder activities. These activities include:

HCP Engagement support

• Provide operations and project management oversight to Project Owners for engagements (eg, advisory boards, summits, speaker tours, speaker training, faculty content development meetings) managed through the Navigator Plus system.
• Serve as subject matter expert on the HCP contracting process and system and provide feedback on proposed system changes or enhancements to Meetings, External Engagements & Travel organization.
• Ensure that HCP engagements are conducted and completed in a timely and compliant manner based upon current processes and policies. Assist in keeping project owners/asset teams in compliance for all HCP engagements.
• Identify and escalate engagement and process improvement opportunities/needs. Continue to identify areas of improvement and best practices to increase internal and external stakeholder satisfaction.

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Support the continuous integration of the Global KOL Contracting group in the Chief Medical Affairs organization through the execution of departmental presentations, asset team presentations, etc.
• Contribute to the annual team workload analysis.
• Attend and complete appropriate training programs.
• Actively participate in Global KOL Contracting Excellence team activities.
• Participate in other Medical Affairs initiatives as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:

• Undergraduate degree (BA/BS) and 3+ years of relevant project and process management skills in the pharmaceutical industry preferred.
• Experience and knowledge of Pfizer's HCP Engagement practices and systems (Navigator Plus) is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with a variety of KOL activities and interactions in the scientific/medical and commercial plans for development and branded products.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new systems, processes, and technology required.
• Ability to function with a high degree of independence and is a self-starter.
• Ability to anticipate issues/needs and work proactively to address them; demonstrated initiative and ability to effectively function in times of ambiguity.
• Superior organizational skills and the ability to drive results across the project lifecycle, from planning to completion. Ability to work on multiple projects and prioritize/multi-task effectively.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Superior computer skills and proficiency in commonly utilized programs/applications such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
