What You Will Achieve
As an Associate Scientist, you will be at the center of our operations and you'll find that everything we do, every day, is in line with an unwavering commitment to quality. This is a laboratory-based position within the Vaccine Research and Development - Analytical Development group. The primary purpose of this position is to provide antibody based analytical assay development support for glycoconjugate based vaccines using techniques such as Nephelometry, ELISA, Bioplex and MSD. In addition, the candidate will provide analytical support for routine sample testing. Your strong foundation in general scientific practice, its principles and concepts will help in meeting critical deadlines. You will be relied on as a technical contributor to assess the assigned tasks and make decisions that involve direct application of your knowledge.

How You Will Achieve It
- Core responsibilities include running assigned samples under direct supervision within the established timelines using ELISA based assays.
- Document all experimental work contemporaneously in an electronic notebook.
- Analyze data obtained, including any necessary calculations, document results and conclusions and submit notebook to a supervisor or designee for review.
- Plan daily workflow to complete the tasks/experiments outlined by the supervisor.
- Provide sample testing support for process development, formulation development, critical reagent characterization and for on-going stability studies.
- Perform other duties as assigned. This includes maintaining laboratory instruments as necessary according to applicable guidelines and ordering frequently used reagents and materials.
- Contribute to authoring technical documents including development reports, analytical test methods, and method qualification reports.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- Minimum: BS in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or related discipline plus 0-2 years of related laboratory work experience
- Proficiency in the use of word processing, Excel, PowerPoint and relevant scientific software is desirable.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing timelines and working well in a team setting.
Nice-to-Have
- Basic knowledge of antibody-antigen interactions and bioassay analytical techniques.

Work Location Assignment: On Premise
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $54,700.00 to $91,100.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 7.5% of the base salary.
