As a Workday Finance Analyst within the Global Workday Centre of Excellence, you would be responsible for providing Workday technical support and maintaining all aspects of Core Financials configuration. Partnering with Finance and other HR centers of excellence, the team's function is to maintain and deliver continuous enhancements to HR and Finance system functionality in line with the product's development and company strategy.

The Workday Finance Support Analyst is a hands-on role working closely with multiple internal business partners within Finance and throughout the business to provide production support and drive continuous improvement of Finance functionality within Workday, plus any global deployment activities. This role will also have global accountability for leading functional improvements to suit the candidate's experience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Acting as subject matter expert, applying functional specialist knowledge applicable to Workday release and assessing the potential impact on current and future functionality.
  • Configuring, testing and maintaining Workday business processes and security policies within own area of specialism.
  • Participating in performing routine testing during the various stages and architectural development of Workday.
  • Serving as functional consultant for area of specialism - liaising between Finance, external consultants and interested parties as appropriate - on planned future projects and migrations.
  • Fielding general HR systems questions from the global HR teams. Researching, escalating and resolving systems issues as appropriate that may occur during business as usual.
  • Ensuring data quality is maintained throughout HCM and facilitating cleansing where needed. This includes conducting appropriate data and security related audits to SOX compliant standards.
  • Support Workday training development and delivery to local HR resources on-boarded.
  • Hands-on role providing operational support globally when required
  • Must keep abreast of enhancements delivered during bi-annual product updates.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Must be able to be adapt to changing priorities with ease and composure, while continuing to meet established deadlines.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a geographically and culturally diverse environment.
  • Must be self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills and a drive to deliver continuous improvement in own area of specialism.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to disseminate detailed concepts into understandable ideas in both written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work with confidential and sensitive data with discretion and accuracy.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience of working with Workday in the Finance Module is mandatory.
  • Previous experience of deployment or supporting internal HR clients on HR systems.
  • Previous experience of configuration and/or operational Workday business processes including notifications, security policies, routing and condition rules
  • Some experience building custom Workday reports, and calculated fields.
  • Working knowledge of Workday Security Model.
  • Specialized knowledge of core Finance.
