Pricing Setting for new products

  • Work closely with all relevant stakeholders to ensure pricing is aligned to the business requirements, is profitable, competitive and is developed to ensure it is fit for purpose.
  • Provide analysis as required.

Manage the creation and implementation of pricing tools

  • Lead the development of new pricing tools.
  • Determine project scope, define requirements, works with relevant stakeholders across the business to coordinate production and creation of user-friendly tools.
  • QC the testing of tools, procedures, and processes related to pricing. Ensure continuity of pricing from older to new template when applicable.

Rate card negotiation and commercial deals

  • Support client rate card negotiations.
  • Provide analysis as required to support negotiations.
  • Work with the Commercial team on client specific commercial deals.
  • Work closely with LRM, Finance and Proposals & Contracts on MSA pricing requirements.

Support client pricing initiatives

  • Creation of client rate cards in line with standard processes and guidelines.
  • Support initiatives around client bid grid mapping.
  • Perform pricing analysis and pricing modelling exercises.
  • Validation of pricing models and bid grids, where required

Staff Management

  • Direct oversight of Proposal and Contracts Specialists.
  • Oversee all day-to-day activities of P&C Specialists.
  • Onboard, train new P&C Specialist employees. Create training plans.
  • Set/manage goals and metrics for P&C Specialists.

Additional Activities

  • Provide guidance and address questions regarding pricing mechanics for internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor special pricing requests and in some instances provide exception reporting.
  • Provide support and training on pricing tools to Proposals and Contracts team as well as other internal stakeholders as applicable.
  • Active participation in pricing related meetings and conference calls.

  • Ability to identify and implement process improvements
  • Proactively participates in skills improvement training and encourages their teams to participate
  • A self-starter and able to work under own initiative
  • Ability to lead internal strategy meetings
  • Confident to deal with all internal and external staff at all levels
  • Advanced knowledge of relevant software (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, Databases)

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Demonstrable experience in pricing tool creation/maintenance
  • Experience of working in and knowledge of the Pharmaceutical/Life Sciences Industry preferred
  • Experience using tools to communicate progress to Stakeholders
  • Solid Professional experience in the same or very similar role

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Life Science, Business or a related study, or equivalent project-related experience.
  • English: Fluent
