  • Provides advice, guidance and expertise to promote adoption of methods and tools and adherence to policies and standards as per agile delivery.
  • Evaluates and selects appropriate methods and tools in line with agreed policies and standards.
  • Implements methods and tools at programme, project and team level including selection and tailoring in line with agreed standards.
  • Manages reviews of the benefits and value of methods and tools.
  • Identifies and recommends improvements.
  • Contributes to organisational policies, standards, and guidelines for methods and tools.

Knowledge management

  • Organises knowledge assets and oversees the lifecycle of identifying, capturing, classifying, storing and maintaining assets.
  • Facilitates sharing, collaboration and communication of knowledge.
  • Monitors the use and impact of knowledge; interrogates existing knowledge content to identify issues, risks and opportunities.
  • Implements specific knowledge management initiatives.

Release and Deployment

  • Leads the assessment, analysis, planning and design of release packages, including assessment of risk.
  • Liaises with business and IT partners on release scheduling and communication of progress.
  • Conducts post release reviews.
  • Ensures release processes and procedures are applied and that releases can be rolled back as needed.
  • Identifies, evaluates and manages the adoption of appropriate release and deployment tools, techniques and processes (including automation).

Organizational capability development

  • Develops and maintains a detailed knowledge of capability improvement approaches and techniques and selects appropriate approaches for the organisation.
  • Contributes effectively to identifying new areas of capability improvement within the organisation which may be enhancements to skills, technology or processes.
  • Carries out capability improvement assignments, such as maturity or performance assessments to identify strengths and weaknesses.
  • Selects and prioritises improvement opportunities, generates buy-in and plans improvement activities justified by measurable organisational benefits.
  • Mentors and supports localised continuous improvement activities.

Measurement

  • Supports projects, functions or teams in the development of project and/or operational methods for measurement.
  • Specifies base and derived measures which support agreed information needs. Identifies and prioritises appropriate measures, scales, and targets.
  • Specifies how to collect and store the data for each required measure.
  • Provides guidance on collection of data including automation.
  • Designs reports and reporting formats.

Relationship management

  • Identifies the communications and relationship needs of stakeholder groups.
  • Translates communications/stakeholder engagement strategies into specific activities and deliverables.
  • Facilitates open communication and discussion between stakeholders, acting as a single point of contact by developing, maintaining and working to stakeholder engagement strategies and plans.
  • Provides informed feedback to assess and promote understanding.
  • Facilitates business decision-making processes.
  • Captures and disseminates technical and business information.

Consultancy

  • Takes responsibility for understanding client requirements, collecting data, delivering analysis and problem resolution. Identifies, evaluates and recommends options, implementing if required.
  • Collaborates with, and facilitates stakeholder groups, as part of formal or informal consultancy agreements.
  • Seeks to fully address client needs, enhancing the capabilities and effectiveness of client personnel, by ensuring that proposed solutions are properly understood and appropriately exploited.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Solid professional experience in the same or very similar role
  • Proven working experience of project management/product delivery leveraging Agile methodologies
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, Scrum, Kanban, Scaled Agile and/or other development methodologies (certifications, desirable)
  • Demonstrable experience and success driving Agile maturity and innovation across teams to deliver value
  • Experience using tools to communicate progress to Stakeholders
  • Experience of working in and knowledge of the life sciences and regulatory sectors

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline (Maths, Science, Engineering, Computing, etc.) or a related study, or equivalent project-related experience
  • English: Fluent
