Summary

The Site Setup Specialist role is responsible for the technical setup of external imaging center and clinical sites participating in clinical research trials. The position is responsible for reviewing imaging center procedures, capabilities, and equipment, as well as training imaging centers and clinical personnel on proper technique and procedures for collecting imaging data according to regulatory guidelines for research and clinical trial-specific standards. The person in this position will serve as technical support for internal and external personnel on imaging-related activities and setup procedures.

Essential Functions

  • Review of site questionnaires for technical capabilities
  • Conduct teleconference and/or on-site trainings with imaging center personnel
  • Assist imaging centers with establishing PET, Nuclear Medicine planar/SPECT, and MRI scanner protocols
  • Support imaging center personnel in conducting phantom scans and data submission
  • Creation of slide presentations and instructional documentation for clinical trial imaging center training
  • On-going imaging center support
  • Technical quality review of multimodality medical imaging (e.g., image quality, QC of acquisition and reconstruction parameters, etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Medical Imaging Technologist/Radiographer or relevant industry experience in medical imaging with a minimum of 3 years experience
  • Process oriented with strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Must possess strong written and verbal skills for effectively communicating with departmental staff and research centers
  • Technical proficiency in multi-modal imaging techniques and demonstrated ability in providing technical imaging related support
  • Must be willing to travel up to 40%

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in a Science or Engineering field
  • Imaging Core Lab experience
