As Finance Analyst you will support the day-to-day management, tracking and reporting of the financial results. This includes but is not limited to:
- Curation of strategic / initiative / project financial master data
- Providing insightful information to drive commercial decisions
- Periodic financial closing and reporting activities
- Standardized periodic reporting of financial results and Key Performance Indicators
- FTE and related cost rate reviews and reporting
- Financial data reconciliations and review
- FX analysis
- Non-labour spend reporting
- Support P&L forecasting and annual budget cycles
Key Accountabilities:
- Data Analysis and Creation - Create and maintain financial information for use at all levels across the organization - both in the form of standard & ad hoc reporting
- Business Support - Possess a clear understanding of the financial processes and data available to deliver support to business stakeholders
- Problem Solving - Work with data to determine key trends, dependencies & outcomes to drive business performance
- Communication - Build rapport and understand address needs of functional/business unit leadership. Provide guidance to functional leaders and other key stakeholders as needed
- Continuous Improvement - Actively seek to improve existing processes & reports where opportunities arise, suggest improvements and seek to implement positive changes
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills - verbal and written, comfortable presenting information
- A flexible attitude with respect to work assignments and new learning
- Ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with enthusiasm and prioritize workload with attention to detail
- Must have the ability to work methodically in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
- Demonstratable ability to apply critical thinking to problems and tasks
- Shows initiative and self-confidence, and adaptable to changing and evolving priorities
- Ability to identify and implement process improvements
- A self-starter and able to work under own initiative
- Proven ability of using Microsoft Office products (including Word, PowerPoint) including advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge
- Comfortable working with large & potential ambiguous data sets
Knowledge and Experience:
- Experience using tools to communicate progress to Stakeholders
- Solid Professional experience in the same or very similar role
- Apply current financial and accounting standards, policies, and controls, mitigate risk between business unit / functional goals and accounting principles and controls
- Experience in process improvement projects to drive continuous improvement
- Proven experience of working with large data sets
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree and ideally studying towards an accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent
