About the role
The Director of Radiochemistry will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction and innovation of the radiochemistry department. This position requires a dynamic leader with deep technical expertise to oversee radiopharmaceutical research and production while ensuring compliance with industry regulations. The successful candidate will foster collaboration across multiple departments, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and provide mentorship to a diverse team. This role demands a strong balance of scientific knowledge, operational efficiency, and leadership skills to enhance the organization's radiochemistry capabilities and advance its research and clinical objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and strategic direction for the radiochemistry team, mentoring a diverse team of radiochemists across R&D and GMP functions
- Oversee the development, production, and quality control of radiopharmaceuticals for both preclinical and clinical applications
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, including FDA, GMP, NRC, state regulations, and quality system standards
- Develop and implement best practices to enhance laboratory safety, execution, and workflow efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinical, regulatory, and quality assurance groups, to ensure seamless project execution
- Manage budgets, resources, and operational planning to optimize radiochemistry department performance.
- Carryout any other reasonable duties as requested.

Experience, Education, and Certifications:
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in radiochemistry, radiopharmaceutical production, or a related field
- Proven leadership experience managing teams in a research, and/or routine production environment
- Strong knowledge and experience of working with radiopharmaceutical regulations,
- Investigational New Drugs (INDs), and GMP environment
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills
- h.D. in Radiochemistry, Organic Chemistry, or a related field
- English: Fluent
