About the role

Essential Functions:

  • Operate and maintain analytical and automated synthesis systems
  • Prepare buffers, reagents and samples
  • Lab maintenance and support in ordering and receipt of laboratory supplies
  • Update chemical and compound inventory
  • Maintain clear and accurate records
  • Collect and summarize data and assist in report preparation
  • Strictly adhere to safety protocols
  • Work closely with senior chemists on everyday laboratory operations
  • Assist in quality control of labeled compounds
  • Support formulation and dose preparation of labeled compounds for preclinical studies
  • Opportunity to perform basic radiolabeling procedure with appropriate training and supervision
  • Read literature and engage in continuing education on novel radiochemistry and imaging
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Chemistry or a related field with 0-2 years of experience in an academic or pharmaceutical lab
  • Knowledge of organic synthesis and analytical techniques such as HPLC and TLC is preferred
  • Knowledge of radiochemistry is desired but not essential
  • Attention to detail
  • An effective team player with the ability to collaborate across diverse departments
  • Ability to multi-task different projects and manage time effectively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lift more than 40 pounds.
