Overview
The Consumer and commercial solution architect role is responsible for developing detailed logical solution architecture for Consumer and commercial initiatives and pursuits across North America. The logical architecture includes application and integration views ensuring the integration of the solution with existing applications is thoroughly considered and defined. The solution architect will also govern and ensure the architecture aligns with enterprise standards and uses common solutions. The solution architect will report to the North America Consumer and Commercial Enterprise Architect and will bring along other stakeholders to align with proposed solution architecture.

- Define & govern solution architecture for key consumer and customer initiatives across North America
- Support the evaluation and selection of solutions/platforms and solution components, as necessary.
- Own and maintain the solution architecture documentation for key initiatives
- Review the projects and ensure the implementation is according to the defined solution architecture
- Support delivery of consistent solution architecture (conceptual, logical, and physical architecture) for key transformation initiatives to ensure solution is fit for purpose, flexible, scalable, and sustainable.
- Analyze and review business, functional and technical requirements; drive solution decision making and ensure alignment with Strategic Design framework.
- Establish partnership across the PepsiCo organization by driving discussions with a diverse group of stakeholders including NA Sector Deployment teams, Transformation teams, and the Technology enablement teams.
- Leverage knowledge of best practices for enterprise functions such as security, performance, development, and application governance to become a trusted advisor across PepsiCo.
Compensation & Benefits:
- The expected compensation range for this position is between $114,700 - $192,100.
- Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
- Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 15% of annual salary paid out annually.
- Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS, or similar field, Masters preferred.
- 10+ years of software industry experience.
- 5+ years of solution architecture experience.
- In-depth knowledge and practical experience of consumer marketing, sales planning and in-store execution in a CPG industry
- Understand PepsiCo's Consumer and Customer North star architecture developed by the domain architects and apply it in the development of the solution architecture.
- Understanding of PepsiCo Enterprise Data Foundation (EDF) architecture, data integration patterns and data & analytics concepts.
- Understanding of integration technologies and patterns; data architecture and patterns.
- Experience with architecture design patterns, systems integration, microservices, messaging patterns, streaming solution, Azure technologies such as Event Hub, Event Grid, Service Bus, etc.
- Knowledge of cloud native principles, modern software development stack (Java based Microservices, Event driven programming, PHP, Node.js, React.js, React Native, HTML5, REST/SOAP APIs,) and modern software development process (lean, Agile, SAFE, DevOps, CI/CD)
- Understanding of technology trends and aptitude to learn about technologies such as IoT, Computer vision, AR/VR and their applicability in the consumer and customer use cases.
- Ability to comprehend business strategies and needs and translate them to technology strategies.
- Ability to demonstrate a mindset for the Conceptual, Logical, Physical levels of architecture and apply them effectively.
- Systems thinking, understanding of relationships between various systems.
